I was thinking along those lines last night too. Pretty philosophical for a sports board, but this isn't an ordinary sports board (TG). At any rate, we're all great at mis-prioritizing: stuff over people, games over RL.

Yeah, if streaky Jake shows up, we're down 2-0 and Hendricks gets the weight of the world on his shoulders. I know, I'm pessimistic. I've been a Cubs fan for 30 years, deal with it.
