  1. Shaq's replacement shoots free throws like....Shaq!!!
  2. The Bulls have come through this little tough run in their schedule okay. Up 6 in the forth quarter at Toronto in a surprising shootout. I'm not worried. As long as Jalen Rose gets the ball down the stretch, the Bulls are going to be just fine.
  3. The Chicago homer factor. They aren't winning the East or the title. But, I think Skiles is the coach of the year. What he has done with the team in amazing. 0-9 start, and now this. And he doesn't have any superstars or even all-stars. Different guys contribute every night. Skiles is the man.
  4. Three games back from the Central Division lead??!!! It's just about Feb, and that's nuts! I must admit, I thought they'd totally suck this year! I don't think the team anything near championship material, but maybe they can even win a postseason series. That would be cool. But just make the playoffs, I'll be happy.
  5. Go Bulls!! Scott Skiles is a genius! Scott Skiles for president! Scott Skiles is the Bill Belichik of the NBA! I hope I didn't jinx this game.
  6. This Bulls team is strange. They never look really smooth or impressive, but they manage to get the other team to look bad also lately. It's tough to say what exactly they need to be a championship contender, because every championship team in recent memory, with the exception of the Pistons, have had superstars. The Bulls don't have one. I think the Bulls definitely need to keep Curry and Chandler. Curry is the offense in the post, Chandler is the defense. They need both.
  7. .500!!! Two victories against the world championships on their home floor!
  8. It's a shame to lose when they are within 1 game of .500. I haven't been this dissappointed with a Bulls loss since 98. But it's only one game. Oh well. We all knew they weren't going to go undefeated the rest of the season. Hopefully, they rebound from this. Piss poor shooting performances happen. The whole team with the exception of Curry went cold and they still stayed close.
  9. Hinrich 4/16 Duhon 1/4 Deng 2/9 Gordon 1/7 Nocioni 0/5 There's no way to win with shooting like that.
  10. No outside scoring now. Hinrich, Deng, Gordon, Nocioni and Duhon are a combined 7/38 from the field. That's not going to get it done.
  11. Been a Bulls fan since the days of Orlando Woolridge and Dave Corzine. Haven't gotten off the bandwagon since. It's been a nice ride all in all. As a Cub fan, I'd never complain too much about 6 rings and having had the opportunity to watch and root for the best player in the history of basketball. I'm liking this team, and I'm hoping that they keep Chandler and Curry. I used to say that Chandler was dispensible because of his lack of skills, but his defense and energy is huge and a great compliment to Curry.
  12. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/cs-050117bullsbrite,1,7037972.story?coll=cs-home-headlines Funny when I read that in the Trib, I actually felt all warm inside the article in the Daily Herald said that Pippen was talking trash to the Knicks the entire game. In fact, it credited Pippen for missed Knick free throws at the end.
  13. the hater philosophy is alive and well.    Yup, the Knicks don't get the calls at MSG. Yea ask Scottie Pippen about that.(Hugh Hollins anybody)  Are we talking about the Hubert Davis phantom foul? Was it Hugh Hollins that made that call? Well, that Knick fan is absolutely delusional. The Ben Gordon shot was a thing of beauty. Beautiful. He should watch Ben play more often, because he can make big shots like that and create for himself. Wow, what a relief we don't have the 35% FG shooting, can't create a shot to save his life, has a bad attitude, Jamal Crawford on the team. Thanks Isaiah.
  14. I'm just thankful he took Jamal Crawford off our hands. And signed him to a ridiculous contract for his skill level. HAHA!
  15. Mount Vernon, NY. Just north of the Bronx.
  16. We FINALLY have a go-to guy who can create a shot with the clock running down. Jalen Rose and Jamal Crawford- UGH! They were horrible at it. Ben Gordon is the man! No Tippin Ben Gordon! Michael Gordon!
  17. Game Over! Michael Gordon does it again!
  18. Does anyone here have ESPN insider access?? Mine ran out and there is a trade rumor about Tyson Chandler on it. Can someone post it?
  19. I wonder if Skiles will give the team some props. He'd better be careful. He's doing a great job, but players might start hating him the way he talks to the media. No Tippin' Ben Gordon is on fire again!
  20. This team is learning to win. Previous years, they would have to play a great game to win, and usually it would be against a bad team. Now, they can win even though they play like crap and they're beating teams that they should beat. This is a good sign. Let's see if they make the playoffs.
  21. Gordon is the closest thing this team has had to a go to guy since MJ. Not that he's MJ, but Jalen Rose and Jamal Crawford couldn't create their own shots to save their lives. And Hinrich can't either. It's Gordon! He's an amazing shooter who can shoot on the move. This team hasn't had one for a long time.
  22. UGLY UGLY game vs. Nets. Hinrich and Gordon were the only ones who came to play. But holy crap!! Ben Gordon is unfrickenbelievable! I don't get to see so many games, but his shooting was unconcious. Wow.
  23. Did they just beat the world champs??!! On the road??!!! Wow!
  24. I don't know where they stand in the Bulls' future plans, but I think things have really soured on the Curry front. Rais, if Curry keeps putting up 20 and 6 like he has been for the past few weeks everything will be fine. Also, if the Bulls are winning, you watch how quickly the trade rumors stop. I've had the chance to watch the last 2 games, and I have really liked what I have seen out of Curry. He is still somewhat lazy on the defensive end, and probably should be getting more rebound. On the other hand, the kid is still really young, and I am almost to the point of being scared to trade him. Right now every team is trying to fleece the Bulls, and I dont trade him unless an offer comes for somebody that is a gurantee. Chandler, well the kid has absolutely no offensive game. He makes Rodman look like an offensive genius. However, when he comes in he finds the ball. Either blocking shots, rebounds, or loose ball. If Curry can keep up the offensive production, along with Kirk, and Gordan(who has been on a roll of late) then I can live with Chandler being a defensive stud. I agree that Curry has been impressive. I just don't know if he'll be in the Bulls plans for much longer since he demanded a trade. Isn't he a free agent after this season? I don't think he wants to come back. I have always had a feeling that we'd finally develop Curry (and Chandler) and they'd leave. :( It'd be nice to have Curry back next year and draft a PF (if we don't have to surrender our first round pick to Phoenix) - someone like Chris Taft or Hakim Warrick (if he bulks up a bit). I know what you are saying Rais about Curry demanding a trade and stuff. However I think it all comes down to they are all buying into Scott Skiles finally, and they are seeing results. Curry is a free agent at the end of the year, and supposedly he wants the max contract that a player can get for his first free agency. If Curry continues to play like this all year, I could see Pax offering the contract to Curry. Whether he takes it or not, probable depends on how the team does the rest of the year. Curry has shown glimpses of maturity lately. His screwup in the Dallas game was stupid, but he also the other night was benched in the 4th quarter of a game the Bulls eventually won. In years past Curry would have been pouting and pissed about Skiles benching him, but when asked this time, he responed with" I dont care if Im in the game or not in the 4th, as long as THE TEAM wins the game." That was probably the first time I have heard Curry give up himself for the sake of the team, and its good to hear. I think Eddy will change his mind if he starts producing night in night out(like lately) and the Bulls win(like lately). He is from Chicago and the the fans, media, and front office has been very critical of Curry, but I think if he shows he can play then everybody turns into praising him and he becomes the Chitown basketball idle. So I just hope he continues to improve, because his offensive game is very good. On to another thing, how do all the Bulls fans here(I know there are like 5 of us I think at least lol) think of the job that Skiles has done? Yesterday I was hearing comparisons of him to Jerry Sloan? It seems like the team has started buying into his physical, no nonsense defense and they are playing much better. Just wanted to get everybody elses opinoins on Skiles. FOUR GAME WINNING STREAK! Now, I'll chime in on Curry. He's basically the big hope for this team. He's the only bona fide building block they have. His offensive touch is really well developed. He just needs to get in shape a little more and mature. The offensive skills are there. Maturity and stamina will help him pull down some more boards and keep him from getting the ball stripped, throwing balls away and such. But giving him away would be a mistake. His numbers really aren't bad. He could pretty easily develop into a 20/10 guy with a damn good field goal percentage really quick, especially if he gets the minutes he should be getting. Who else do they build around? Chandler has amazing athletic ability but does really make Rodman look like an offensive genius, and he still lacks the strength. I'll get excited about Hinrich when he can hit over 40% of his shots. Isn't happening anytime soon. I hate to say it, but he's overrated. It's still too early on Deng and Gordon. If they let Curry go, they are taking a big step back. Centers that can put of 20/game aren't that common.
