    wow bold prediction there. 2nd in home runs among rookies, 1st in runs, 1st in rbi, 3rd in stolen bases, 1st in obp, 2nd in wOBA, easily 1st in WAR. Honestly even if he wasn't the best rookie, which he is, he'd win it by name alone as long as he was in the race

    My fear of the Nats is that they play the Phillies, Braves, Marlins and Reds 21 times. And that makes me unhappy. The Nats aren't good, they aren't coming close to catching us

    If the Cardinals go 15-16 the rest of the way, the Cubs would need to go 26-6 just to force a one game playoff. And this is assuming the Pirates don't pass them which they would.

    They got him for nothing, are paying him nothing, and he was supposed to be an upgrade over Beeler. His FIP was always bad going in and the home run balls won't work at Wrigley in Summer.

    i was at the game and a bit inebriated, but didn't he have 3 errors or something? He had one in the 9th, and the game thread leads me to believe there was another, but I wasn't watching at that point. Drop one at 2nd from Russell who double clutched his throw on a force play, was an easy catch and he just dropped it.

    It's just by turns strange and infuriating that instead of a borderline meaningless mini slump, this one has basically destroyed our chances at the division and damaged the chances of even a home wild card game. Our chances at the division were destroyed when the Cardinals decided to win 110 games
