I was with a group of friends the last time I was at The Jake (or whatever the hell they call it now) about a year ago. I wasn't wearing anything sports-related and we were sitting near this group of over-makeupped women who were half beached whales, half brown-bagged, all of whom were wearing "Grady's Ladies" shirts. I was chatting with one of my friends about the Cubs' rough start and a few of the girls overhear this. The following takes place: Girl #1: "You're a Cubs fan?" Me: "Yeah." Girl #2: "Why the are you here?" Me: "It's a nice day and my friends wanted to go." Girl #1: "Ugh, God, I can't stand Cubs fans. They're such bandwagon fans who don't know a thing about baseball. Indians fans actually care about their team and are really knowledgable!" Me: "Who's the starting pitcher today for the Indians?" Girl #1 and #2: "..." About two innings later, the fans started doing The Wave. That just said it all.
