  1. Every starting pitcher on our staff is markedly worse than they were last year. Get a starter, Theo and don't let him even talk to Jim Hickey.
  2. Definitely not the first place ball club, but the lead off hitter that's on the soon to be 4th place ball club.
  3. I'll drop it in here whenever it's appropriate but am 100% behind more degenerate talk. I bet a few games or totals everyday, so I'd love to talk to more people about stupid beats. Yes count me in on any and all degenerate gambling talk. [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo] Should we start a degenerates thread?
  4. It's clearly a precursor to a deGrom move you jerks
  5. Ian Happ murders these clowns faster than they murder themselves
  6. Yeah but it's like a decade worth of control. Hand has all of this year and then 19, 20 and 21. Cimber has been really impressive and he's got less than a year of service time.
  7. He doesn't really fit there when they're healthy. Machado isn't a good SS and Seager is, so Machado would have to acquiesce to playing 3B full time. They'd also have to move Turner to 1B and Bellinger to their crowded OF. I guess you could see something like this: C - Grandal 1B - Turner 2B - Taylor 3B - Machado SS - Seager LF - Kemp CF - Bellinger RF - Puig Bench - Muncy, Hernandez, Barnes, Pederson And I guess deploy Muncy as a utility type and Bellinger spelling Turner. This would all only be possible if Machado accepts a move to 3B longterm. I don't see it happening, personally.
  8. Sucks for sure but yeah that's not even in the same stratosphere as what Hader said. I am very embarrassed about how I used to call things "gay" when I was younger, so the young and stupid excuse would actually make sense. However, the thought "white power" never crossed my mind even once.
  9. He basically said he's still the same person. He is a moron and he most certainly not said "all the right things" regarding being a racist horsefeathers.
  10. Unreal how stupid he is, but racist homophobic misogynistic people tend to lean very stupid.
  11. What does a season ending arm injury have to do with Alzolay? The Cubs posted at least a couple statements about Alzaloy's performance in Iowa, you should check them out. For him being in Iowa, I was jacked he was there and his good stuff was dominating. Not giving guys like Underwood and Clifton credit for improved seasons is unreasonable. Heck, Underwood made his MLB debut and was respectable against the Dodgers. And, you should check yourself about not having "glowing reports". The Cubs brass issued atleast one "glowing report" about Underwood performance to start the year. Uh what? He was already oldish when he broke out as a prospect and just suffered a season ending arm injury, but the absolute biggest reason this tarnishes his prospectness is he's lost a year of development. I know that when I want the best, no spin prospect coverage I go to the organization that they play for because they have no interest in inflating their status in the industry.
  12. I'll drop it in here whenever it's appropriate but am 100% behind more degenerate talk. I bet a few games or totals everyday, so I'd love to talk to more people about stupid beats. I used to be big into the poker in its heyday, but most of my gambling is limited to Draftkings these days. It seems softer than most lines. It is for sure, especially if you focus on the max lineup contests.
  13. I jumped on Schwarber earlier than Javy. That was on 5Dimes. Grabbed Hoskins to be beat Aguilar +130 on betonline. We need more degenerate gambol chat on this site. 14. Where did you get those prices? Also anybody know what order they are doing the derby? Only care to watch Schwarber and Javy I jumped on Schwarber earlier than Javy. That was on 5Dimes. Grabbed Hoskins to be beat Aguilar +130 on betonline.
  15. Threw a couple shekels on Schwarber +650 and Javy +760 for tonight.
  16. Unfortunate. That means you missed this gem. [tweet] [/tweet] Good thing Theo is smart and we're saving all of our loss reversals for October.
  17. i just retweeted that Craig Edwards gem and he blocked me before I could blink. Solid job with that hire Fangraphs.
  18. ——— I wonder if the Cubs can dump Chatwood on someone like the Angels, A’s, Twins, Phillies, or Rockies? Why would anyone take him off our hands? None of those teams have access to MLB.tv obviously. I hate chatwood as much as anyone and in the heat of watching him suck ass on the mound I'll declare for him to be DFA'ed but he's not going anywhere.
  19. !!!* Does something like Almora, Happ, Amaya, De la Cruz, Lange, and Little get the Cubs Syndergaard and Lugo?* DeGrom and Lugo? * I don't think the Mets trade Syndergaard From today's Tribune: And the Cubs appear firm in their unwillingness to move any position players from their major-league roster to acquire pitching help. “We’ve shown were really loyal to this core group for a reason,” Hoyer said. “They’ve earned that loyalty with their performance over 3½ seasons. Our focus really is on supplementing that group.” To me, those comments don't include Happ.
  20. Until Darvish proves that he isn’t dreaming about the Astros every night I stand by my opinion. Hated that signing the day it was announced.. He is getting really good at playing catch in the outfield though before games so totally worth the money You hated the signing of the best pitcher on the market with a track record of excellence? Show your work.
  21. Brewers getting slapped around in Pittsburgh to begin their freefall is quickly becoming an annual event.
  22. Jankowski pissed on that ball, it wasn't decently hit.
  23. What? Chatwood isn't talented. I don't know who the other could be but if you think it's Darvish you should go play in traffic. Until Darvish proves that he isn’t dreaming about the Astros every night I stand by my opinion. Ah yeah I'm sure that's what he's thinking about with a sore elbow. Jfc.
