I don't know how you can be mad at Z for that. He threw two or three pitches that anyone else in baseball would have swung and missed at. That's b/c he was going for the K and not the out like he always does. Ever since Z became more of a "strikeout" pitcher, his effectiveness has decreased accordingly. He doesn't as deep into games as he used to, his groundball to fyball ratio has plummeted, and he has already given up more homers this year than he did the entire '04 (??) season. He used to be able to negate the walks by giving up few homers and enducing many a double play. Now it just doesn't happen. I wish we had that old Z back. Not quite, but close. He's given up 11 HR's this year and gave up 14 in 2004. So he'll likely have given up more sometime in June. Correct me if im wrong, but i believe hes given up more HR already than he did the whole 03 season, which i believe the total was 9. correct, sir.
