  1. You know, I really can't wait until the "Good Old Boys", the old-time philosophy guys who refuse to acknowledge any stat more sophisticated than batting average or errors. Defense is important. I didn't used to think so, but I've been converted. You can't wait until they...what?
  2. Probably would have been a closer play, but considering how hard that ball was hit, I wouldn't bet on it. I don't know about that. Even with all the twisting and turning Nady got back there in plenty of time to catch it, he was just all turned the hell around by the time he got there. It wouldn't have been the easiest play, but I'd put my money on Kosuke making it.
  3. Managing baseball is hard when you're drunk.
  4. For the record. Kosuke probably catches that triple for an out.
  5. Hahahahahahaha. Our outfield defense is freaking spectacular.
  6. Whelp, could have gotten a lot more but it's nice to see the high pitch count on Bailey. And he appears to have absolutely squat tonight.
  7. But Lou said he was gonna play guys who get results. :-)) The thing is there are literally no options to replace Theriot on the 25-man roster, Fontenot is not a SS. Theriot has nobody that is a potential risk to steal ab's from him as the roster stands right now. Then at least move him out of the slot that gets the most AB's. Exactly. Funny enough, Milton Bradley got off to a better start last year. I know it means absolutely nothing, but still.
  8. WOAhhhhhhhh... I don't know about running there, but it worked out
  9. Well, get's the run in. Nice job, Rammy
  10. For the record, I called a big night for lee earlier in the thread.
  11. Ah damn We have CB Bucknor. Luckily he's stashed at 3rd tonight
  12. What the Hellllll is up with that lineup? Byrd and Fukudome getting days off is fine. But at the same time? And Lou's comment makes no [expletive] sense in relation to this lineup because Fukudome is batitng like .400 right now and Byrd has obviously been solid. Also, I hope soto is just out because of the day game/night game thing.
  13. He was ahead of schedule? When it first came out he talked of being ready for opening day. Most reports were in April sometime, and a bunch of people just assumed it would be later. My guess is that he's probably referring to the May 1st timeline that was commonly cited throughout the offseason and into spring training. Well, that and when the team said he was ahead of schedule:
  14. He was ahead of schedule? When it first came out he talked of being ready for opening day. Most reports were in April sometime, and a bunch of people just assumed it would be later. Really? I swear I remember reading that he wouldn't be back until May and then more recently reading something that said he was ahead of schedule..
  15. Also: I freaking hate night games on Fridays. I want to be watching baseball right now, dag gummit.
  16. Sky is falling, end of the world, they're lying to us, etc. Really though, Not a big deal. He was ahead of schedule anyway so this isn't the worst thing in the world so long as it's just a run-of-the-mill stiff back.
  17. Also, I'm predicting a breakout day from Lee. He seems to always do pretty well at the GAB
  18. Yeah, I'd rather see him as a starter but he's still the guy I trust most in the bullpen, so this isn't a terrible outcome.
  19. No. Not even a 1% chance. Sounds about right.
  20. So, any chance Theriot gets a hit tonight?
