So I just was checking out Buxton's stats...yeesh. That Bryant thing just keeps getting more hilarious. I realize Buxton is just 22 years old and has only played 92 games in his career, but his line this year is .211/.248/.367 and .210/.249/.348 for his career. That goes along with a 13/105 BB/K rate in his career and a 38% K rate this season. And despite elite tools, UZR has him as a below average defender. All this after he had a three year stretch where he was ranked no lower than the #2 prospect in baseball by BA, BP, and mlb.com entering those seasons. Again, still very early, but this could be quite the epic bust. He looked like the surest thing ever not too long ago.
