I think it's a sideswipe at a Notre Dame Fanbase reputation that many of their fans didn't actually attend the university. Guilty I went to NIU. At least neither NIU or Notre Dame fostered and covered up a massive pedophilia ring, so I got that going for me..which is nice.

If you fire Paterno, the players still play. They keep their scholarships. It's not punishing them. That's a stupid argument.

Well that's just sad if the Board is going to allow themselves to get pushed around by this old coot. The NCAA needs to step in and ban all those involved from the football program effective immediately. But since this doesn't involve trading a tattoo for some memorabilia, I wonder if they even care?
