Blast me for this if you will, but if we were to sign all of these overslots, and miss out on Baez, would it be the worst thing in the world? don't get me wrong, he seems very intriguing, but doesn't excite me as much as most of the other top ten picks in the draft, and if we were to miss out on him, we'd end up with 2 top ten picks next year, which would be sweet as long as we didn't use them on any Cubans in their late 20's. Baez is signing, so it's not even an issue. But if it did somehow happen, yes, it would be a big blow to not sign Baez. He has one of the biggest upside bats in the whole draft and his ceiling is arguably higher than anybody currently in our organization. That's the kind of guy you NEED to bring in.
