  1. Hillenmeyer can stay on the bench. It's Roach's job.
  2. Probably the worst 4-0 team I've seen.
  3. Norv Turner. LOL.
  4. Brown can't be factored in. He has been injured every season. Your post makes no sense though. You complain about the pundits saying it was a mistake to let Riveria go yet defend him by pointing out injuries/decline of players. I really have no idea what your talking about. I'm just saying Riveria is a decent DC, nothing more nothing less. In Chicago when his players were healthy he looked great. Yet people point to his exit as the downfall of the D, which isn't true. Not quite sure where you are going with this.
  5. Agreed. But I hear on the radio all the time what a mistake it was to let Riveria walk, yet I'm pretty sure the downfall of the Bears defense had to do with the injuries/decline in play of guys like Tommie Harris, Urlacher, Mike Brown.
  6. Nice defense San Diego. Maybe now the Chicago media can stop crying about letting the "Golden Child" Ron Riveria walk.
  7. Because if we tried on defense in the 1st half, the 2nd half would have been boring.
  8. A semi-dynasty? What? They were 8-8 last year and their defense had one of the worst months a contender had in the history of the league. I really don't know what you're arguing because the Broncos are 4-0 right now. Granted they've played Oakland and Cleveland, but they've beaten a 3-1 Cincy team and they held a pretty potent Dallas offense to 10 points. I didn't think McDaniels was a great choice for them either, but he's shut me up so far. And that defense is now currently one of the best in the NFL, despite major personal changes. Which indicates they had coaching/scheme issues last season. So yeah, I'm pretty sure that a Broncos team with the 2008 offense and the 2009 improved defense would be pretty darn impressive. And F' Kyle Orton for killing Eddie Royal's career. But I thought they needed to go out and hire a defensive coach? You can't have it both ways. Yes. And they should have left the offense 100% "as is". Not attempt some goofy trade for a crappy Matt Cassell.
  9. Yeah, I hate losing to teams that are 3-1 right now. They sure didn't look good getting spanked in New Orleans today? Anyways might point was that parity rules in the NFL, and it is completely feasible to assume a team could make the strides in an off season to contend with Baltimore or New England.

  11. Yeah, the vaunted Ravens who lost to a pretty average Chargers team. Or the Patriots, the team that lost to the Jets, and should have lost to the Bills.
  12. I just find the missteps of Denver this off season fascinating. I mean, they had a chance of building a semi-dynasty. They had 1) A franchise QB 2) One of the best young Olines in the game 3) Two of the best young WR's in the game. Their Achilles heal is that they were just brutal on defense and could not stop the run. But there was talent there.(Dumerville, Bailey, etc) So why would you not hire a defensive minded head coach? And why would you come in try and mess with an offense that was among the best in the NFL? Failure on epic proportions.
  13. HE JUST WINS I don't know how people can criticize a QB who has 5 TD's, no picks and has led his team to a 4-0 record. Orton sucks. The pixie dust will come off soon enough. I don't think he's very good, he's average at best. But it amuses me how much Bears fans have turned against him and hope he fails just to make the Cutler trade look that much better from their point of view. Don't forget this was a guy that many loved for his neckbeard and other interesting activities as well. There's no doubt that Cutler would have the Broncos at 4-0 too, but it amazes me why people continue to compare the two. It was a good trade for both teams as the Bears got their franchise QB and the Broncos got a couple of high draft picks the next few years. They're two extremely different QB's, so I don't really get the comparisons. No it wasn't. The Broncos gave up franchise QB. That's no "win" in that situation unless they get a franchise QB in return. If the Bronco's had Cutler this year combined with their vastly improved defense, I think they might be favorites in the AFC.
  14. They don't seem to care right now...Orton has proven capable enough to run their offense it seems. I bet most would tell you they'd rather have Orton than Cutler. Cutler has been awesome the last 3 games, but he's had 3 game stretches of awesomeness in the past only to see a leveling off. I think Cutler is legit and what he shows is an improvement over last year, but the jury is still out a bit. Not really. It will go down as one of the worst trades in NFL history.

  16. bring back Bledsoe!
  17. Brandon Marshall is going to look great in a Bears uniform next season.
  18. Broncos fans have to be kicking themselves. Their defense looks legit this year. Imagine if they had just managed to keep Cutler happy.
  19. Weird, I thought Tony Romo waited till December to start sucking. At this point I'd take any other QB in the NFC east over him(Cobb too). rofls.
  20. Allright, bad 1st quarter, but the defense will settle down. Tubby Staford will throw us some picks and I don't see the Lions be gifted another free TD.
  21. Suprised the zebras didn't make up an illegal block call there.
  22. WERE IS THE HOLDING CALL? THE REFS ARE GIVING THIS GAME TO DETROIT
  23. Nice gift 7 for DeToilet there. BS.
  24. oh, and double LOL at the colossal D-Bag known as Pat Ryan. Too funny! :clapping:
