  1. Sorry for being absent from the game threads this past weekend, but I was enjoying the view of our sweep from the left field bleachers. Even from my view, Harden was absolutely disgusting yesterday. Watching him throw in the outfield before the game, you could see Larry smiling and nodding a lot watching him toss. Seriously having ARam back is better than the Cards with Holliday and if Soto looks good, we have the best lineup in the Central. Only downside was we were hoping they'd change the flags above the scoreboard before we left \:D/
  2. This is just getting absurd. It is? The Cubs have a number of players over 30. When it's at the point that we've had our opening day lineup on the field twice? three times? Even considering we do have some older players, imo it's a pretty absurd run of injuries. Last year we were super healthy. I guess this is just the evening out period. Yea Karma is a b i guess.

  4. This is just getting absurd. Well past the point of funny
  5. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: suck it :High Fives:
  6. In case of the worst, I shall be disappearing into the night Steve Bartman style... It's been a pleasure
  7. This game is O-V-A Come on Phillies!!
  8. we could really use a real LH bat off the bench though... hoffpauir has been brutal the last 2 months. that's a spare part that hendry should be looking for, a matt stairs type. Agreed. :Longs for Darryl Ward:
  9. Wow Heilman. That was borderline competent.
  10. Why wouldnt you have used Hoff right there? because hoffpauir is terrible and jake fox is good. Hoff is still the right call against the RH Harang. but he sucks though. A) He's the back up catcher, why burn him especially when: B) Hoff the lefty was the right decision there It's easy in hindsight to criticize a decision, but Lou did the right thing there.
  11. Fuk-u-do-me!! Get at least a run out of this.
  12. He does! You should see him lightning up the batting practice pitching. Nice Job Wells getting out of that!
  13. Atta' boy Wells, settle down and get us 2 more innings.
  14. reaffirming that even blind squirrels stumble upon a nut every once in a while
  15. Depends on what you mean by "better" You really could make a case for either. 21 men put the ball in play against Buehrle yesterday. 7 did against Kerry. That's as strong as a counter argument you can make and I guess it's up to each individual person about that. I'm still going to go with the perfect game, but can certainly understand the arguments against.
  16. Depends on what you mean by "better" More impressive achievement is how they were discussing. But I can't think of a definition that would make me think Kerry pitched a better game that day than Buehrle did yesterday
  17. Wow I thought Ronny was about to argue Kerry's 20k game was better than Buehrle's perfect game.. that would have been a great who you crappin nominee there.
  18. I'm listening at work, is Wells getting hit as hard as Pat and Ron are making it sound? Doesn't sound like a cheap hit yet.
  19. Yes, but it takes Lou at least 2 years to make logical line up changes. Hopefully by July '11
  20. Maybe they'll move Hart up to Saturday to give Dempster the extra day and have him go Sunday like originally hoped.
  21. Welcome to the board. If both teams play up to their potential, this could be an incredible race. I'm having a hard time being optimistic about the rest of this year now knowing that we really can't make any moves. Thanks, kind indeed. Although I'm a Redbird fan, I still believe that the Cubs have to be dethroned. The Cubs are overdue for a hot streak, and then it's on. Good luck, northsiders. At least from my experiences, Red Birds fans have all been very civil and extremely knowledgeable about the game. Even my trips down to StL to watch a Cubs/Cards, I was always treated really well. Good luck to the Cards going for the wildcard \:D/
