  1. I'd be a lot less pissed if this wasn't the Cards. I horsefeathering hate the horsefeathering Cards. And the stupid [expletive] losses to them always stick with me forever. But... another good start from Jake. The bats showed up again today. 12 hits. Several more rockets right at guys. Just one inning from hell from a bullpen that's been mostly good. Might want to shore the pen up, but if not, meh. I've been and still am more worried about offense and rotation, since those are more important -- especially the rotation with the loss of velocity and general ineptitude. But I definitely am still pumped about how we're trending there.
  2. good lord you guys who is this dude we're going to get who is better than edwards and would've prevented that from happening? did you see what guys like that went for last year? i mean, come on, you could've at least waited until it was uehara or even strop or something to do this http://1cr9883up6mem97ddj01yxgu.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/images/tumblr_l9pwys9x3w1qe04gdo1_500.png
  3. Sofa coming back after cubs 6 game winning streak yeah get your ass back to that cabin in nova scotia
  4. Be careful about what you say in here; Tommy may be reading the forums. [tweet] [/tweet]
  5. What were the chances that Strop struck out Grichuk there?
  6. Glad you could see that while watching the ball into the dirt.
  7. The main reason I see this as a good avenue is that, well, we aren't getting a good cost-controlled arm. We'd have to include MLB pieces, and Theo isn't doing that (outside of maybe Almora). We aren't backing into one of those guys, either. Either the A's get good value for Gray or they wait until the off-season and try again. They have options. Other teams will most assuredly outbid us there. Here we could have the Rangers backed into a corner, where nobody else is offering up much of anything. The market simply doesn't materialize. And they are faced with losing Darvish in the off-season or picking through our scraps. Sure, we could be blown out of the water. But this is the one place where we might not.
