    Bryant is good at 3rd, Baez is really really good. This is probably the best team we can put on the field. And I don't like saying that because I love Soler.

    I'm kind of hoping they're stupid like the Yankees were for a few years and would rather try to remain as good as possible even when they have no hope of making the postseason. Absolutely this, and I could see that. The fall from grace could be glorious. No rebuild, just fade into suck, I don't know, they do have Hazelbaker. Is our young core really any better?

    The same reason you eat any other topping or dip. The lack of any decent alternative in Cincy? I mean, if I want chili, I'm not eating Skyline. If I want some vaguely chili-esque meat topping, I might put some skyline on it.

    Especially with skyline. You don't eat it by itself, that would be like eating spoonfuls of mustard. It's a topping or a dip. so why eat it? The same reason you eat any other topping or dip.

    I love skyline chili. It tastes like it's awful for me, so I'll just buy a small can of it at the grocery store every once in awhile and have myself a little treat.

    As painful as it will be, you have to let him go, assuming it's going to take a mega deal. It's too bad he's not a couple of years younger. That is unless the Rickettses decide to go full Dodgers with the payroll. Yeah, as amazing as he is, I still don't want them giving him the deal he's going to net unless, like you said, the Ricketts just say "[expletive] it" and decide the money vault is finally completely open. i don't have the quote, but Arrieta has said he'd be willing to give the Cubs a pretty good discount. Hopefully that's still the case.
