Hot take: those takes are noise and nonsense for the most part. There's plenty of SPs with untrustworthy deliveries. Agree, as long as whatever a guy is doing doesn’t make him more susceptible to injury (largely seems like that’s still all guess work) or what he’s doing isn’t repeatable and can lead to command/control problems it’s all just mostly noise and nonsense to me.

[/tweet] Bote is only IF on 40-man. Retroactive to 4/6. Suppose it could be Zagunis or Giminez too since Zobrist, Bryant and Caritini can all play 1B
What? That answer should be "never." Yeah make whatever you can I guess. It is mildly irritating when he wears Adidas gear that is Cub blue. He stands out like a sore thumb when he is with other players. He immediately takes gear off or changes it post game. This is a really weird thing to get irked by. He’s not flying to LA the night before a game to film a commercial or showing up late to games because he got stuck in traffic coming back from a promo at a car dealership in northern Indiana. He literally is just working in his endorsements to his everyday life and maybe having to remember to @ a company or put a hashtag on a post. Also, how don’t you know this isn’t part of the Cubs helping him make more money since arbitration supresses him and he was held back for control. Could be “hey Kris we know we played games to have you make less money but we have relationships with XYZ companies that you can make more money by just throwing on a horsefeathering hat.”
Turned it on in the background. It's incredible how much Stone flat-out ruins the game. I can’t believe I actually use to legitimately like him, I chalk it up to being a stupid, clueless teenager
Probably never since it’s smart and he can work it in to his everyday stuff and doesn’t really have to go out of his way to do it. He arguably can do the promotion stuff for his “living money” and never have to actually touch his baseball salary until he’s long out of baseball.
Never. It's fun, it's neat! Treat it the same way we point out that Bryce Harper has a slugging percentage over 1.000, it's a delightful absurdity that we can enjoy. Agree. The only thing I take away from it is obviously the K thing is/was dumb because it wasn’t that bad and we were hitting the ball hard and the RISP issues should find a normal level soon enough with guys hitting the ball hard.
Looking at the schedule, and I'd guess most teams have it somewhat similar since they started the year early to add a few extra off days and with the early season off day scheduling, but with how the off days fall moving forward the rotation gets to go on at least 1 day extra rest outside of this 2nd time through the rotation this coming weekend/next week until June.
Hopefully this means Rizzo is in the lineup tomorrow. Should’ve made them put a roof of some sort on Wrigley as part of the master renovation plan (only kinda joking).
They’ve started so well/banked a lot of wins already they could end up being kinda Brewers or Cardinal like from last year. Kinda in it but not really for the division and a WC team until the end. They also haven’t really played a real team yet, Tigers for 3, Twins for 2 and Reds for 4. They’re probably still closer to a 78 win team than a 85 win team but the early wins/start will help them outperform projections a bit.
And all of Sogard, Vogt, Thames, Guerra (if he’s up), Bandy, Wade Miley and some of their bullpen guys all suck enough that they might have spent time there too. Willy might just hate them all.
Except the Cubs dugout was to his back. He was either looking at the pitcher or the Brewers dugout No that was the Cubs dugout. Think he was giving them horsefeathers for not sending him
