Gray is pretty much all FB and hard Sliders, which seems like the exact type of RHP Almora and Javy would struggle against. Javy should probably stick in there for defense with Hendricks on the mound but Almora should probably sit or at least not lead off. Well how about that, back in first place at the end of April for the 3rd straight year, 5 wins in a row in which the starters have given up 0 ER and overall pitching hasn't given up an earned run in 30+ innings, I dug in to the numbers and that's a good thing. The Rockies have a non-pitcher team wRC+ of 76, which isn't good. A true unstoppable force vs what looks to be a quite moveable object. Time for the offense to wake up vs the guy taken after Bryant, which I believe history will say was the right call, and for the pitching to keep doing it's thing and us to win an easy one as the DONGS are lacking and the RD could use a boost after these 1-2 run wins. Hopefully Javy stops at his local sporting goods store on the way to the stadium to pick himself up a new glove as well. Win you jerk faced idiots.

To add to this he’s not even going to finish top 300, THREE HUNDRED, all time for WAR for position players and he’s probably not finishing top 500 if you include pitchers.

Don’t know why they aren’t making him a starter. But great to see them potentially not maximize his value.

Yup, the stuff looks okay and the results have been good. His minor league numbers kinda suck though so idk what to think of him.

At some point Ferrell and Wilson need to pitch, Cishek is on pace for like 95 appearances and Strop and Carl were used heavily over the weekend. Hopefully Maples or Adbert are up soon.

Hopefully Javy doesn’t let this mini run of bad results change him. He has 3 hard hit balls I can remember going back to yesterday (got one to the RF well warning track area, first inning tonight and now that ball last inning).

Yeah I mean he’s probably our worst starter this year and that’s not a bad thing. He’s already had two starts of 6 innings and no runs and 7 innings and 3 runs. If he can give us 20-24 quality starts and a ERA under 4.5 this year I’m cool with that.
