    Mac Williamson has had success with him this year. I have no clue why the Cubs seem to be anti-launch angle these days. I don’t think they are anti-launch angle. They said, and it makes sense to me, going from Malle to Davis was more going from a guy known for coaching/doing mechanical things to moving more towards a guy who coached from the mental aspect since most of the guys had grown and matured past the point of working and developing on the mechanics as hitters and it was time to grow them more mentally as hitters.

    Morrow hasn’t been able to throw a decent breaking pitch most of the year, seems to be trying to work one in a little more so hopefully it’s just a feel thing and matter of time

    The only reason I can think of is they want him working with Davis or someone on the major league coaching staff everyday. But if that’s the case just make up a 10 day DL injury to keep him around working on horsefeathers and replace him with Bote.

    Agree. Not like Duensing is going multiple innings. Just use Zobrist to PH for the pitchers spot when it comes up (which isn’t even guaranteed this next inning).

    He pretty much doesn’t have a breaking ball/off speed pitch to get guys off the FB and I think his FB also has little movement or deception. 100+ is impressive but if guys know it’s coming and don’t have to worry about a breaking pitch he’s not going to K a lot of guys.

    Team BB rate is about 2% lower than 2017 and 16, so yeah that’s a little low. We were at about 4 BB a game last two years and just a tick over 3 this year. Good stuff. Thanks. Part of, but not all of, the reason is probably KB/Rizzo both missing 5+ games each since they are 2 of the biggest drivers in the team BB numbers.
