    He got fucked by two calls there. I know he isn’t very good but between a bunch of flyballs/line drives finding gloves and screwed by the zone a few times he has been unlucky.

    We are getting a Cubs-Brewers WC game Gio Gonzalez no hitter. They’ll go some combo of Gio-Woodruff-Suter-Albers-Pomeranz-Hader for 1-2 innings each to get through 9 and we’ll be lucky to score 2 runs and get more than 6 base runners, even though we’ll have like 20, 2-0, 3-0, 3-1, or 2-1 counts and do nothing in advantageous counts. When we do make hard contact it will just be hit in to a shift.

    Will be cool when Tommy Edman is a fringe major leaguer next year at this time slashing .220/.280/.340 but is doing the random cardinal minor leaguer hot streak thing for a 2 month stretch right now.

    I think Caratini is better defensively at either spot, but much more critically at catcher. I seriously doubt Contreras would be worse than merely adequate at 1B. I get that, and I know Caratini is Yu's catcher, but I still would feel better with them switched Well then you’re gonna be stuck with Lucroy catching games

    Based on what we have seen so far, I'm perfectly ok with him as a cheap #8 hitter playing 2B. Spend money somewhere else. I think it could work, especially if somewhere else is Betts and Grandal, but in general I'm uncomfortable with non-impact players just being given starting jobs on this team Trade for Lowrie or Miguel Rojas as a hedge Nico isn’t an everyday guy but he can still be a starter to start the year and they’re better depth than we have now anyways over the Kemp’s/Descalso’s/Almora’s of the world.

    Would prefer to keep seeing Caratini at C and Contreras at 1B as long as Rizzo is out. With Rizzo out you have to make sure Willy’s bat is in there almost every game and he can’t catch every game (especially coming off the hamstring injury), so they pretty much have to play him at 1B some.

    There’s a distinct possibility Willy charges a bunt so aggressively tonight he takes out the bunter Goldberg style before the bunt is even down.

    That’s the best lineup we can put together vs RHP right now, imo.

    That’s awesome, I have a few buddies who coach various HS teams for the same reason to get cheap/free golf and a nice side paycheck. I’ve been playing probably 2-3 rounds a week and hitting the range for a good hour another 2-3 times a week this year. I’ve been dealing with some back problems and I definitely think it’s from carrying my bag too often for rounds, especially my league rounds. I go to the chiropractor every other week and he definitely yells at me about it and says he can tell there’s issues from too much repetitive movement and carrying a bag. I really should get a push cart but my vanity won’t allow it.
