  1. I bought 2 in Section 305, and 2 in Section 306 (my card and my dad's card). I hope we clinch before game 5, but if there is a game 5 at least I know I'll be right on the field for it.
  2. Yeah they will refund you for games not played. I think you have to mail the tickets in though.
  3. They just released more seats for Game 5 on Cubs.com. Hurry before they sell out!!!!!! Bleachers still available
  4. That was great. "Meaningless" game in regards to the standings, but there is definitely a lot that can be said about a come from behind victory in extra innings on the road this late in the season in a playoff atmosphere. How great would it be if the Mets, Brewers, and Phillies all end the season in a three way tie and the Mets and Phillies have to play a one game playoff to decide the East with the loser of that game then having to play another one game playoff vs. the Brewers to decide the wild card, while we just sit at home and rest?
  5. Soriano couldn't even do his BOB HOWRY hop on that ball :good:
  6. It could be worse than the current Big Z dilemma. We could be relying on Javier Vasquez to pitch us into the playoffs.
  7. Even if Big Z looks sharp the next couple of innings, is there any plausible way that Lou will start him in Game 1 or 2? Will the board please assure me that this is not going to happen?
  8. What did he do? He got in Z's head by going halfway down the line and doing that cat and mouse [expletive]. Then he celebrated the grand slam. How dare him celebrate his team's success!
  9. Well I officially hate Jose Reyes now.
  10. Stoney said on the radio yesterday that the Cubs should hope to play the Mets in the NLDS on account of Santana being the only arm they have to throw at us. I gotta agree with him on this.
  11. Perez already has 63 pitches through 2.2 innings. Do Mets fans cringe every game that Santana doesn't pitch knowing in almost all certainty that they will have to see their bullpen go at least three innings?
  12. What if he's still perfect through five? In all seriousness, I don't see anyway he would get pulled. It's probably the best for him and the Cubs, but I don't know if Lou would pull the trigger and take him out until someone reached base. Interesting to see if this might actually play out.
  13. Well, I'd say Big Z is off to a better start than last outing.
  14. I'm definitely going to LA or Tampa if we play one of the two in the World Series. (I already have tickets) If we play the Mets in the LCS (I know it's unlikely at this point) I'll definitely make that trip too. Milwaukee is also a given for the LCS. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to travel for any NLDS games. My mindset after the NLDS games will be one of these two: 1.) I'm happy we advanced to the LCS, but then reality kicks in and I realize I'm broke and can't financially justify going to the much bigger series' about to take place. 2.) I'm depressed/considering jumping off of the Lasalle St. bridge due to us not only losing NLDS games but me also now being broke.
  15. Go to AL Hrabosky's, and then piss all over his picture. God I hate St. Louis. 5 years of college in Missouri will do that to you.
  16. Maybe this will show that getting selected for the Cubs lottery is harder than we even realize. From my inbox yesterday: Dear Rays Fan, Recently, you registered on raysbaseball.com for the chance to purchase tickets for 2008 postseason games to be played at Tropicana Field. Unfortunately, your entry was not selected for the chance to purchase tickets to Home Game 1 and Home Game 2 of the ALDS Are you kidding me? I must have been one of what, 39 people to have actually registered for that lottery?
  17. I too bought Angels and Rays World Series tickets through stubhub. I have 2 for Games 1, 2, and 6 in Tampa I have 4 for Game 2 in L.A. I figure if the Cubs make it then the prices will skyrocket for the World Series games there and if one of these teams make it without the Cubs then I can just resell them for what I paid. Lets go Rays! I've been cheering for them since the end of August. (On a side note, I loaded up on Rockies NLCS tickets last year in case they played the Cubs. God I'm a loser.)
  18. Check that, I know 100% that the scalpers create countless emails for these premium drawings. Look at this auction. This scalper was offering 8 different passwords for $399 each and was able to sell 3 of them before the on-sale this afternoon. When you figure that maybe 4-5 people won on this board, it becomes blatantly clear that all this broker did was register hundreds, if not thousands of different email addresses. http://cgi.ebay.com/CHICAGO-CUBS-PLAYOFF-TICKETS-CODE-PASSWORD-PASSCODE-IL_W0QQitemZ170265394798QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item170265394798&_trkparms=72%3A1257%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  19. I hear ya, but its worth the shot. Because if this works then it just confirms my suspicion that as long as you have a winning password then you can buy tickets. This way I will know if it's worth my time to register a plethora of NLCS emails so that I can get tickets for that series and then (fingers crossed) the World Series. My ex-girlfriend is from New York and her dad is a huge Yankees fan so back in February when the Mets had their ticket lottery for premium games i.e. Yankees/Opening Day/Last game at Shea, I bought a password from a guy on ebay and was able to get Mets/Yankees tickets doing this. I used the print-at-home feature and the tickets were good and valid. I'm definitely praying that this works for the Cubs as well. If it does, then it certainly will be beneficial for all of us on the board to create multiple email addresses for the NLCS registration. I'm pretty sure the scalpers do this anyways.
  20. I paid $175. So my two bleacher tix cost me $156 with all the fees and shipping included. All in all I paid $331 for the pair. ($175 password + $156 to the Cubs box office) Definitely much better than the $800/pair you're probably looking at for 2 bleachers. Hopefully this works. I think it will. As far as I know, once the tickets are sold, the Cubs don't give a sh!t who bought them.
  21. I will let you know in a few days. I bought a password off of craigslist this morning and then bought tickets. I selected 'fed-ex shipping' so if they arrive in my mailbox I will certainly inform everyone.
  22. Which is more likely to occur at this point? Us getting an answer one way or another before midnight, or Casey McGehee starting at third in game one?
  23. No it's a fraud. This guy has been messing with people all day on the board. He just copied and pasted a Mets email that he got earlier this week and changed the wording. I've been monitoring that board all day.
  24. Absolute dream scenario, but probably a 1/1000 shot: "There was an error/hacking/mistake in the lottery registrations. All NLDS tickets will be released to the general public tomorrow via the VWR."
