  1. Interesting decision, punting on third down
  2. Who is this color commentator and what game is he really watching?
  3. 2nd and 18, they anticipate the screen and give up 10 yards on it anyway
  4. He threw it to a receiver with two guys covering him in front of him and a linebacker between Cutler and the two defenders who caught it
  5. 3 people could have intercepted that before it got to the receiver!
  6. Maybe his worst goal line interception of the year
  7. I'm so glad I never bet on Bears games. This team is too confusing
  8. Hey, we're not down 2 tds at the end of the first quarter
  9. 50's HD stream went out but NFL network isn't blacked out
  10. Did people watching on NFL network instead of 50 just lose signal? edit: no, I can watch it there
  11. pathetic edit: and I don't care that he stopped him short.
  12. A trend got going in the 90s where players stopped wearing cups. It seems crazy, but... No, it's just crazy
  13. The color man just said Tommy Harris was "not very good last week"
  14. Aside from Brown getting the early jump, they haven't been able to come close to the qb again
  15. Oh my god, Roach, Boo!
  16. Didn't lose the announcers here. Couldn't have been a catch, his shin beat his left foot to the ground
  17. Sorry, no. No single player could make that sort of difference, and the difference in the Bears game certainly wasn't in the secondary.
  18. That's going to hurt his brain
  19. Wow, perfect jump
  20. I cannot fathom how the Bears beat them
  21. The front 7 don't have to stay out to make screens a bad idea, they just have to realize that the quarterback still has the ball and it might be a good idea for some of them who aren't next to the QB to stay near the RB or whoever. In other news, the Bengals and Cardinals called about one screen against the Bears, a team that couldn't get anyone near the QB. You'd think the Bears defensive line and the Packers offensive line would be instantly converted into pure energy when they came into contact, they're that perfectly matched as crappy opposites. Hence they get no penetration and are still sitting at the line of scrimmage when you try to screen pass. The key to a good screen is allowing the d-line to penetrate but not far enough to get a sack. well, if you try to screen against the Bears they'd let them penetrate and then everyone would be confused while the RB got 25 YAC

  23. They're risky for a number of reasons. You need your offensive line to be smart and capable, you need the defense to not get there too quickly, if the defense expects it they'll tackle the receiver for a loss... I don't think most teams call it significantly less often than it would make sense for them to and if you were a Bears fan instead of a Packers fan, you'd be much, much more skeptical about the value of the screen
  24. You didn't hear that the NFL mandated the West Coast Offense for the 49ers? Really, though, that sounds ridiculous, but I hope it continues next week. I'm sure Gore could get around 10 YPC against the Bears
  25. And with that Seattle covers
