Part of me wants to say that the Bears have played 5 games that would have gone either way and they are 3-2 in those games. So in that regard I guess it could be worse. It's difficult to say that the Bears should win every single close game. But then I remember those stupid games they lost and there is just no way they should have lost them. Also why did all 3 of the close games they won have to be AFC games while the 2 they lost division games. If we lost to Oakland and Kansas City while beating Detroit and Minnesota we'd still be looking ok even at 4-5 if we manage to win next week (my teams always seem to lose in these situations), how seriously do we start thinking about a playoff spot, given the remaining schedule and the fact that we'd be .500 having won probably our most difficult remaining game? Still need Atlanta or Green Bay to tank, being basically 2.5 games back with 7 to go. I wouldn't put it past this Vikings team to tank and lose a playoff spot, too, I don't trust them at all. But their next two games are the two hardest on the schedule, Denver and @Packers, and if they don't win at least one, obviously season over.
