  1. So if Castro and Baez wind up in the same infield, where do they wind up in 2b/3b/SS?
  2. The biggest things, by far, are always how the starting pitchers are used and how the bullpen is used, and, well, even before the Jackson thing he was terrible there
  3. Our new youngest poster? edit: wait, it's that guy
  4. Aside from putting the Brewers lower and the Rockies at the bottom (how could I hate the team that gives the Cubs their most amazing wins and never beats them in the playoffs?), that seems about right
  5. Castro seems to blow more close throws than Theriot did, despite the better arm
  6. FDB. And I've completely forgotten Erik's ban. Also, Yanr and the guy who was like Yanr but probably a different person (although I'd expect them to get banned again soon. I'd just enjoy the ride)
  7. Of course a maybe a 5% drop in revenue from the loss of ticket and in-stadium sales with simultaneous revenue increases from other sources requires an enormous drop in payroll. That's accounting.
  8. Too bad Berkman won't be on the field for this next inning
  9. unclear. He was limping around, announcers speculating it was a cramp, but he had to leave
  10. two outs and Valbuena throws home on a non-force. Interesting decision.
  11. Lake would have hit the under armor sign in his first two ABs, had the ball not been caught.
  12. So, they got everything important done well before the dealine?
  13. While there is no ""proof"" that Pujols is older than his listed age, the fact that he looks much older than his listed age and has an aging curve that suggests he's much older makes complaints like yours look really stupid. While no one, apparently, actually knows that he's much older, there's some evidence to support it, and a history of evidence like it being manufactured. There's no physical evidence anyone is aware of that Pujols is, say, 37, but it's always seemed pretty likely. Or maybe 63 years old is just about the middle of NBA careers. I'm not sure, I only watch 75 Bulls games a year.
  14. Strop posted as many bWAR in his first 11 relief appearances for the Cubs as Pujols put up fWAR in year two of his quarter billion dollar contract.
  15. Kevin Gregg back at 0.0 fWAR. That went bad in a hurry.
