  1. I don't think you remember that. i vividly remember seeing those arguments at GRB Yes, and you weren't hallucinating. Yikes, TT got into an argument with a guy who wrote
  2. IIRC, the tag is thrown into the fire and causes the flareup.
  3. I was driving by Northwestern the night of the injury listening to the pregame show and Dusty was talking about how he was going to get Nomar to stop swinging at so many first pitches. What an [expletive].
  4. Looking it up, I see that Rich Hill actually appeared in two games this year. Faced four batters. Three walks and a hit. Somehow he's never had a negative fWAR
  5. waited long enough for that.
  6. Why do these soccer fans start using incorrect grammar when talking about soccer? ("Argentina remind me)
  7. IIRC, it was something like "wood's not as good as his peripherals, but Jackson is a lot better, so we'll be ok there" Only my teams

  11. I feel bad laughing at that numale ad, but I do.
  12. knocked the crap out of that one.
  13. Bounced so far off the catcher the pitcher picked it up. That's unusual.
  14. What in the what? I don't follow this logic. Were there any racist connotations in the letter to actually make this analogy? "Nearly"?? Seems pretty damned reckless to compare the two, but I don't remember the letter in full... There were a bunch of morons back then writing/saying that it reflected a plantation mentality, things like that.
  15. was it really wrong? It was closer than I thought on replay. The complicating thing is that he was so far up the baseline, which is mostly in his control because he was already camped there and not ranging to get a bad throw. That also means that even standing on the line pretty much leaves you no clear lane to the plate because you have to loop around the guy just to get to the circle. And then he stuck out his leg to block the path behind him
