    Not sure how much sense he makes for the Niners but they have an excess of picks (11 I think).

    He's got to do something while recovering from "burnt ass" after the TV deal stuff. But we better not say anything questioning him or else he'll mute right up. He's punishing us by not giving out Cubs stuff, you know.... He said a day or two ago on twitter that he was gonna stop giving out "insider info" because he's starting some mock draft provider or something? Ya, some wiki type scouting service for amateurs I believe

    What's a reasonable expectation for Olt this season if he does win the job out of ST? Also, is he in a possible platoon situation with Valbuena?

    Really shows the depth of this draft on the defensive side when guys like Ford, Mosely, Ealy, Hagemen and Jernigan are all going 20 or later. Makes me think Emery and Co. would be better off trading back into the late first and picking up a 2nd or 3rd.

    No reason to start his clock in a lost season.

    They would have to swap first rounders this year and give up at least a first rounder next year, possibly a 2nd rounder also if they made the playoffs. Absolutely not happening.

    I sure hope they dont reach for a guy like Jernigan if hes not ranked that highly...maybe trade back or BPA?

    Seems like a good fit in NE. Stable locker room and coaching staff.

    First time going with 3 - Candy, Olt and Vizcaino. Candelario could offer the most potential out of the group but also is the farthest away. Olt has a good shot of winning the 3B job out of ST and putting up 15-20 HR's with adequate defense. If it wasnt for his dismal year last year we would definitely be talking about him being a top 7 or 8 prospect.

    Man I feel like Jimmy G would be a great fit for Trestman's offense....accurate, strong arm but doesnt throw the deep ball real well. Whats the consensus on his draft stock...3rd/4th round but trending up?

    Brett seems like a nice guy, and has a decent blog...but does he have any legitimate sources? It seems most of the time he is "hearing whispers" after others have reported various rumors. Does he hear those whispers after reading ABTY's tweets?

    You could do 2 prospects a day until you get to, say, the top 20.

    Its amazing how much this Kyle dude annoys me. I swear every message board and Cubs social platform I visit he is there harassing people. Anyway. Hard to believe any kind of Japanese newspaper or source over there without knowing their credibility. I will believe nothing until someone more official reports it.

    I believe full season ticket holders could get in an hour early and then partial holders could get in. The Cubs ticket guy I talked to yesterday said the 2 day concerts you are guaranteed a ticket to, but the 1 day concert like Pearl Jam is difficult for the partial holders.

    Was told this morning they will be reaching out to the first 30,000 on the waiting list this year. Since so many have been on the waiting list for 5+ years, a large majority they cannot get ahold of with old email addresses or phone numbers. Not sure if this is new...but they are offering a nights/weekends package that amounts to 63 games good for only the bleachers. Tickets to 2 playoff games per series, but still first dibs on concerts, hockey/football games, etc. The guy said they are hoping to have 4 big concerts at Wrigley this summer with the 100 year commemoration. Still on the fence (since I live in Denver), but probably going to pull the trigger on the partial plan. Sounds like they will also offer payment installments this year (not sure if thats new or not). 10% or more due by mid-December and installments of either 45/45 or 30/30/30 going into March. On a sidenote, has anyone ever sold their entire plan at once? Is there a market this year for such a thing?

    When I joined the waiting list I lived in Champaign...too bad I now live in Denver. Does anyone have experience with selling the entire season ticket plan to someone else? Is there even a market for that? I would absolutely hate to lose my spot in line, but living in Denver means I could catch 4-5 games a year max. Update: I just called and received the following info: When the Trib Company owned the Cubs they held back some 5k seats for their own use. When Ricketts bought the team he opened up all of those seats to season ticket holders. The guy said most were shocked to see their name pop up so soon and many had to pass on the tickets. He also expects 4 concerts at Wrigley next summer. And that the waiting list is now at over 100k.

    Why the hell do various prospect rankings bother you all so much? Its just one mans opinion, if you feel Baez is a top 5 talent, then go ahead and keep feeling that way. Its almost as pointless as arguing about politics or religion...you have your opinion, they have their opinion. Is either opinion correct? Nobody knows, thats why its an opinion.

    I just want 4 reliable relievers out of those 3, Parker, Strop, Russell, and Rusin. Surely that's not too outrageous an ask, right? Who closes out of that group? I would assume most likely candidates are Rivero, Vizcaino, and Strop?

    It amazes me they gave a hockey guy the Cubs beat. I like Jesse and he does great filling in on the air, but goodness he doesnt know much of anything about baseball.

    You absolutely have to keep Graham. With Gronk Hurt, Graham is the best TE by a mile. There are other WR's like Green, Dez, Marshall, Julio that will put up numbers similar to Megatron, but I dont see any TE coming close to Graham's numbers.
