  1. If you want WS gear, anything is going to be overpriced, not sure Wrigleyville will gougue you anymore than elsewhere... are you relying on public transit? Yes, taking the blue line from O'Hare to downtown and meet some friends (that's the best public transportation, correct?). So I will be downtown tomorrow and Wrigleyville on Friday. Thanks!
  2. Sorry if I am a bit off topic, I am coming in tomorrow from Denver and looking to grab some gear. I assume Wrigleyville will be over priced as usual. Whats a good spot between O'Hare, downtown and Wrigleyville? Thanks guys.
  3. Not a huge Marriota guy but in a 2 QB league he seems like the obvious choice. If it were a 1 pt PPR, then maybe Landry is the choice but he has less value on a non PPR league. I personally wouldnt consider losing a 1st round pick on Brady.
  4. Drop WC add Ozuna Is there anyway to post/send me my team? I have no idea whos on it anymore!
  5. I dont think the Rockies are in a position to trade young, cost-controlled starting pitchers. In fact, he should be exactly what they are looking for in return. Ryan Madson has seem to found the fountain of youth. 17-20 in save opportunities, 2.75 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. Shouldn't be too expensive.
  6. I'm headed to Colorado Springs tonight, anyone on the Sky Sox worth keeping an eye on?
  7. Drop Schwarber Add Miggy Cabrera
  8. A: Arenado B: Stanton, Goldschmidt C: Correa, Schwarber, McCutchen D: Russell, Puig, Carlos Gomez, VMartinez, Gordon WC: pm'd
  9. I am going to assume for this exercise you only roster 3 of Hammel, Haren, Hendricks, Richard and Wood. Bat locks: Montero, Ross, Schwarber, Baez, Bryant, Castro, Rizzo, Russell, Coghlan, Fowler, Soler Pitcher locks: Arrieta, Grimm, Lester, Rondon, Rosscup, Strop Thats 17/25. Next 8 could change depending on series. 3 additional bats: LaStella, Denorfia, Jackson 5 additional arms: Hammel, Richard and Wood (leaving Haren, Hendricks and Cahill off). Hunter and Rodney (leaving Ramirez off)
  10. Charlie Blackmon would be a great addition, albeit fairly expensive considering he's not a FA until after 2019.
  11. Roughly $45 million left on his contract for 2.5 years...NO THANKS. Just sayin.
  12. Any team trading pitcher at the deadline will not be looking to acquire Coghlan or Montero.
  13. Maybe he's confusing Schwarber with Vogelbach?
  14. Good chance of more rain/snow in Colorado Springs today. Triple header tomorrow?
  15. Highly doubtful Iowa gets their game in today, high of 50 with 80% chance of rain. Its been raining all morning and there doesnt appear to be an end in sight.
  16. Some dude from Wrigley/Cubs was on with Waddle and Silvy yesterday and he claimed 80% of all fans that were polled say they enjoy the experience of seeing a guest conductor. He said people ask whos pitching and then ask whos singing the 7th inning stretch. He seemed to imply there is no way things change anytime soon. After he had left they had quite a few season ticket holders call in and not a single one had received a questionnaire to answer that question. ESPN1000's poll of 500+ people was about 80% in favor of having Harry sing the stretch on the big board.

    Castro

What time is Maddon on 670 today?
  18. Cant stand to see Herrera out there for 3 more games. Bullpen will get an extra day rest, Ramirez's DL spot should be used on an infielder.
  19. Daniel Lewis, I believe. Served a 4 year stint in the Air Force.
  20. Need to start seeing an extra day or 2 a week from Castillo IMO. I hate that Ross signed a 2 year contract.
  21. but this is so much less of an issue in Wrigley than it is in spacious LF like Coors/PNC/Petco i'm a little bit excited by the idea of completely reversing course on the defense-first craze of the last 5? years in baseball and putting out a (relative) murderer's row lineup where nobody but Rizzo is a plus fielder Fowler CF Soler RF Rizzo 1B Bryant 3B Coghlan LF Castro SS Montero C P Alcantara 2B also, to your point, he was a completely neutral rating to UZR last year for some reason i'm curious about, but yeah, DRS wasn't so kind Let's say Baez gets hot in Iowa and comes up this summer as the everyday 2B. He is less than ideal in the 9 hole, who goes there instead...Montero? Would rather have someone with more speed, Castro makes sense but it also makes no sense at all the more I think about it. Does Maddon scrap the pitcher batting 8th lineup?
  22. A- Stanton B- Encarnacion, Rizzo C- Bruce, Springer, Goldschmidt D - Choo, Harper, Hanley Ramirez, Jason Heyward, CarGonzalez. WC- same as everyone else but I PM'd it anyway!
  23. Nearly went Johnson but ended up going with Tseng. The walks are a bit alarming for Johnson IMO. At 20, Tseng more than held his own in his first season minor league ball. Nearly 6:1 K to BB ratio in 105 IP.
  24. Marshall going off on Carmen was awkward and totally unnecessary. He was the only one that looked like a clown. I agree, time to cut bait with him as well.
