    At this rate, whats the contract extension for Rizzo going to look like going into 2022? Obviously he could turn it around this year and be back to his old self in 20/21, but if not is he even extendable? Seems his offense has been steadily declining since 2015.

    But why? I understand the sentiment about Trump, but why would you waste energy caring about something like that? Because they make the world a worse place and I am against the world being worse. I couldnt imagine going through life worrying about other people's political opinions. There has to be thousands of things I'd rather spend my time being mad about.

    They are protecting the demand for subscriptions to the networks that pay to air the game. Do the fine people of Iowa have the ability to subscribe to 6 different regional networks? These days people are more likely to use a service like VPN or reddit game streams instead of signing up for cable. If anything, MLB is screwing themselves by taking money out of their own pocket. The puzzling aspect of the MLB blackout rule is there doesnt seem to be any metrics behind the arbitrary boundaries.

    Try living in Iowa. Apparently we're too close to the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Twins, Cardinals, and Royals. They don't want to divert your attention from the Iowa Cubs. How insanely arbitrary is it to use state boundaries? Easternmost Montana to Seattle, WA is over 1000 miles. I am a GIS analyst, I could draw up some buffers for them pretty quickly.

    Is there something in the CBA saying double headers cannot be scheduled on get away day? I know it used to be they could only be scheduled on get away day if that was the last day they would be in that city but wasn't sure if the new CBA was the same.

    Sitting in my office in Denver and weather has moved in the last hour or so. Mountains were clear an hour ago and now I cant see them. Temp has dropped at least 10 degrees. Will be surprised if they get this one in. Tomorrow doesnt look much better. Off day double header?

    Springer, Trout and Harper made for a pretty spectacular group of C listers this year. The D list were the difficult ones for me this year. Baez, Contreras and Calhoun have been ok. Lindor has been above average. A bunch of meh for me this year.

    Hoping for Allen or Garrett at #4 and a QB in the 2nd. Mahomes, Webb, Watson and Kaaya are names to watch for in the 2nd round. They won't all be there I doubt, but maybe 2 of them will be. Or do the Bears, being the Bears, know they have Cutler under contract for 2-3 more years and draft a bit more of a project like Kelly or Mayfield? That seems like a Bears thing to do.
