  1. The Cubs' top priority should be winning (as it always should be). No use worrying about teams we probably won't catch. Of course, the simple task of beating the lowly Reds is proving to be a challenge so far.
  2. The Cubs haven't been good at this whole 'preserving leads' thing as of late.
  3. 5 of 6 What? Since the west coast trip, we've lost 5 out of 7. Yes but the first game of the west coast trip is included in the 21 of 25. Since then we've lost 5 games and won 1 Oh, I'm an idiot. (As I'm sure many would agree).

  5. I wish we could go from playing amazing ball to playing .500 instead of winning 21 out of 25 and then promptly losing 5 out of 7. Do better tomorrow, Cubs.
  6. Yeah he's been swinging at a lot of balls lately. Mostly off speed stuff low If were only a quick fix existed in the form of a night in the batting cages with his dad. He's only been getting off-speed stuff lately, too. The scouting report is out on him. STOP TYPING YOUR IDIOCY!!!!!!! Not sure if sarcastic or not.
  7. If Grimm can have a spectacular meltdown, surely Chapman can do the same.
  8. To be fair, Rizzo got screwed on that strike two pitch four inches off the plate.
  9. Christ, keep swinging at [expletive], Rizzo.

  11. Schwarber swung at ball four twice.
  12. Why couldn't the Reds have traded Chapman. :(
  13. Let's not forget the time Taylor [expletive] Teagarden won us the game against Chapman. Reliever meltdowns happen to all teams.
  14. So you think it's that these teams choose to "fight" as opposed to facing better pitchers/pitching performances? One shouldn't assume every post in the game threads is completely rational. Hell, look at me. We're just frustrated.
  15. Seriously, why couldn't SF's bullpen collapse like this?
  16. Lol this post My bad. Apparently that's only his third HR given up all year.
  17. For [expletive]'s sake, Grimm. How do you hang so many meatballs? I should have more confidence in a guy with an ERA around 1.
  18. Thank goodness Schwarber got home in time. Yay runs! We don't get to bitch about BABIP luck for a while.
  19. Cubs are back to being inexcusably bad on offense.
  20. As a Stats grad student, I will say that 0-21 is way too long of a drought to be entirely random.
