  1. Rizzo has no business swinging at low and inside junk.
  2. Let's keep getting owned by this scrub, Cubs.
  3. Yeah, the manager told them to get out there and score some runs and they totally blew him off.
  4. Every time a Cub not named La Stella steps to the plate they have a RISP. And every time they fail to drive that run in it is just the worst thing ever. Like, seriously, how do you not get those runs in! Hey, that's my job!
  5. how about just having won a game we were up 5-0 in, a game we were up with 2 outs in the 9th, and EITHER the costas june game or this week's game? Yeah, that too. The disproportionate amount of comeback wins the Cardinals have pulled off against us. It's uncanny how unlikely those all happening in the same year are.
  6. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/jabo-the-cardinals-have-been-historically-clutch/ If the Cardinals had any resembling ordinary or even slightly above average luck, we'd probably be at least tied for the division.
  7. Yeah, I really hope baseball switches to leaguewide seeding at some point. Not saying the best teams should automatically win the World Series, but the winningest clubs should at least have the opportunity to play five playoffs games. The NL will have one 90-95 win team eliminated in a crapshoot play-in game, and that's unacceptable.
  8. Horrible pitch to swing at, beautiful swing by Castro.
  9. Pretty much. This DID mean something, and this is a crappy loss. It's not going to send them spiraling off into failure, but being only 5.5 back with the series coming up would have been gigantic. Maddon should have been doing everything possible to step on their throat today. such a massive [expletive] swing and a huge game and maddon talked about wanting to catch the cardinals today too I'm fuming. We had a chance to get them. God [expletive] dammit! even if we make those two games up in the next two days i'm going to be pissed that that doesn't put us 3.5 back GOD DAMNIT BE COMPLETELY RATIONAL. YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO GET UPSET IN THE GAME THREADS.
  10. I'm going to let this one go. No sense in holding in the anger and letting it drag down the rest of my day.
  11. It has. That was a very mundane comeback win. I realize it was after Lester had come out of the game, but they won by stringing three of their five hits together in a way that scored the game's winning runs. Hits that easily could have been scattered harmlessly through the rest of the game. Not to mention their mediocre relievers shutting down the Cubs and Cardinals pitching lights out when the Cubs had scoring opportunities. This was a very Cardinals-esque comeback win.
  12. he walked a guy and gave up a [expletive] seeing eye single Eh; before today he had a 12.60 ERA and a 2.600 WHIP and opponents hitting .364 .517 .682 1.199 in 8 appearances against them this year. Just one of those things. You can mainly chalk this up to shitty luck, though. 8 appearances isn't really that indicative.
  13. I was really hoping after the first two games that the Cardinals pixie dust magic had dissipated.
  14. Has Maddon ever had good explanations for his boneheaded decisions in the postgame interviews? [expletive] like this is inexcusable.
  15. Dude, seriously just....dude Frustration is understandable given the number of times the Cardinals have come back against us this year.
