    So the Bears have tie-breakers over New Orleans? I didn't think that was the case. WE HAVE NO CONFERENCE LOSSES HOW CAN WE NOT? If we don't get HFA, its our own fault; Bears' [8-0 in NFC] remaining schedule strength; (@STL 5-7, TB 3-10, @DET 2-11, & GB 5-8 = 15-36 [10-29 after tonight]) Saints' [8-1 in NFC] remaining schedule strength; (WAS 4-9, @NYG 7-6, & CAR 6-7 = 17-22)

    Wonder just how short the leash on Grossman is tonight. Out after a "couple short drives + a pick" kind of start, or does Lovie try and ride him for the whole first half to see if can yet salvage anything before being forced to go with Griese?? Guess it all depends on what the D & STs are doing as well that will determine how long a leash Rex gets tonight. Even though I called for his removal starting 3 games back, here's to hoping he find's the magic he had in the first few games. Could be just a bit too late to go to a new QB, hoping to find a reliable signal caller. We don't need big plays every other play or 2 either, Turner. [unless Rex is takikng it upon himself to go for the big play so often.]

    Who are we going to play in nickel situations? Hester? I heard Hillenmeyer might do it too. I don't think it will be very difficult for the Rams to get favorable matchups for their WRs. Sal Paleontonio said Hester. Maybe Devin can add a defensive TD to his scoring list this season.

    Ok, so WORST we can do is 10-6 for the year and not win the division. Current NFC seeds; 1 SEA 12-2 2 CHI 10-4 3 NYG 10-4 4 CAR 10-4 5 TB 9-5 t6 ATL 8-6 t6 WAS 8-6 t6 DAL 8-6 Ok, we have the obvious tiebreak on ATL. WAS would have the tiebreak on us. I'm betting we'd have some sort of tiebreak on DAL if came down to it. WAS' final 2 are vs NYG and @ PHI. Hard, but possible, for them to go 10-6. DAL's final 2 are @ CAR and vs STL. I see 1-1 there for the 'Boys. So basically, root for the NYG to win next Saturday so that clinches the Bears a playoff spot. [and then watch as the Bears clinch the division by beating the Pack on Christmas evening! :D] No, you root against the giants, because theyre the only team that could beat the bears out for the #2 spot. You're right. I know I shouldn't be so over-confident, but I really like our chances next week. An average day for Favre this year is 4-5 INTs and at least one returned for a touch. Obvious goals for rest of season; win @ GB/win division - finish 3-0/12-4/secure NFC 2-seed - use bye week to get key parts back and healthy for playoffs - win Divisional round and go from there. :D

    Dudes, I am SOOOO hoping for Sr moment from Mora in a PC this week or after this game.... "PLAYOFFS!? PLAYOFFS!!!??? WE CAN'T WIN A STINKING GAME!! WE SUCK!     Bears' D and entry of Grossman in 2nd half won this game tonight... and its not even debateable. If only we had some WR and TEs who could catch passes........ Gould misses, but D will end this - once and for all. 16-3 w/ 4:30 left.

    I doubt they can nab homefield throughout (unless SEA gets upset on Divisional Weekend), but a 1st round bye and homefield for the Divisionals would sound REALLLL good right now.

    Are the ATL coaches intentionally throwing this game? Are you kidding me with those calls!?!? Time to officially put this game away O. I love the sound of a 23-3 win in a game where you needed to show some dominance in the home stretch.

    I think we all need to sit back and objectively review after the game, little later in the week... because next to Orton's overall body of work over the last couple/few weeks, its not hard to do much better. But on the other hand... he really does look sharp and is zinging the ball. Couple missed throws that coulda been better/completed [oh yea, and INT on goal line sucked], but overall... he's a HUUUGE upgrade over Orton and his lack of passing stats.
