  1. I don't think Fields has an issue recognizing blitzes, I think he overthinks his own athleticism. I think the issue is Fields thinks he can outrun God because he's such an amazing running QB. With time, I think he can correct that assumption. Processing progressions may be an issue for Fields, but he's much different that Trubisky in how he's doing it. Mitch would lock on to a receiver, JF takes his time reading the D. Missing "NFL OPEN" wr's? Define "NFL OPEN" for me. I bet 90% of the league misses them.
  2. Fields (as a bust) just posed his 3rd out of 4 games above 100 passer rating. Again, sample size, but there aren't many "busts" at the QB position in the NFL who fail while doing that. I can't think of one....maybe you could provide a list?
  3. Thats odd, I never would have equated the two in performance at the NFL level. What I said about them being prospects is true. How exactly, are they similar at the NFL level?
  4. Ah I agree, curses aren't real, but idiotic unfocused franchises are real. I mean, it only took the Cubs a century. Don't be so sure about Fields future success aligning with Trubisky's career trajectory, they were never comparable prospects.
  5. Comparing Fields to Bagent is bonkers for any reason. I realize you are doing it because you want to play GM and draft your QB, but the reality is that the Bears are notoriously lousy at drafting and developing a QB....and you know that. I'm tired of it. I want ownership to finally acknowledge the importance of the position and stop being so archaic...or sell. Until that happens every QB we draft will "fail". If they don't, it will take a very long time to develop one, and one thing you can't seem to recognize is Fields' growth. I have no idea where he will be next year, but I get the feeling he will find his place and it will be what we need...... probably in NYC or ATL. Were those coherent sentences? better than 50/50 I'd guess
  6. btw, dont "correct" me. you seem to be the one learning
  7. he hasnt had 1100 yards in an nfl season. again, sample size There is a reason JF played at Ohio State and Bagent didnt. Bagent may develop into a fine backup nfl qb, he'll never be on JF's level
  8. Bagent has played 4 games. Lets talk about sample size
  9. I get that, but I'm reserved to the notion that Jaylon is gone. McKinstry would make me feel less sad for the loss
  10. I'm not sure I'd be happy picking up a tackle in the top 10, I'd much rather have MHJ, Bowers, or McKinstry depending on the slot they are picking. Jones isnt an all pro yet, but hes been servicable
  11. I could see MHJ and a trade back, possibly.
  12. or they expect JF to just take off running (?)
  13. whats worse, going into the 4th year with a qb you arent 100% about or going into year 3 with an entire coaching staff you arent even 25% sure of? I mean, we get both!
  14. of all the lies, exaggerations and made up crap posted on this forum, that might be the biggest
  15. you're talking about the bears? how dense are you?
  16. I'll concede that Fields does slide late, however, it doesnt excuse hitting him or leading with the crown of their helmet.
  17. I had no issue with the deep throw, it was there and Fields made a perfect throw - where only Scott could get it. Scott should have had it. The bigger issue is backing yourself into 3rd and long with two dives into the belly of the Detroit D. And then, even though they miss on the deep throw, their shell prevent D is garbage. No blitzes, allowed everything underneath. total shitshow by Eberflus
  18. I agree with you. What’s the risk the 2024 draft becomes the 1983 draft? Next to zero, so if there aren’t enough sure thing qbs, find a coaching staff that can actually gameplan instead
  19. This is 100% on the coaches
  20. I realize the lions offense is awesome but boy it would be nice if the Bears D could actually stop them
  21. Dbl post: Firefox is weird
  22. He runs like Gayle Sayers
