  1. I was under the impression that Tomlin liked Fields when he was drafted, and Schafer is extrapolating that he may still like Fields. Who knows what the Steelers are thinking now
  2. and you are an Idiot. it's in you're name
  3. dude, I dont give a horsefeathers
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if Williams had a god complex. And, in today's NFL, that will be rewarded. The issue for me is that Williams was right where Fields was 4 years ago. I'm 50/50 on where the Bears go at this point, but if its anything other than Fields vs Williams, god knows what will happen, and I would be disappointed with anything other that those 2
  5. this is idiotic, but right on que
  6. I mean, if Caleb comes in and starts snapping off 15 yard bullets into the hands of open underutilized wr's in preseason, the players might get over JF before the season even starts I just worry the learning curve of the nfl may prohibit the atmospheric rise of any rook qb, with a few exceptions of course
  7. yes, but the scouts all rave about his quick release. you can hold the ball longer if you have a hair-trigger, Fields biggest issue wasn't holding onto the ball so long to extend a play, it was his reaction time from deciding where to throw to the point of actually throwing the ball, I felt
  8. I'd agree more or less with you, although I differ slightly on Center. I dont know who the likely FA's might be this year and I wouldn't mind paring a rook C with a rook QB, as long as the C is the better one available in the draft. Its a bit of a spin on the old "take a QB and his LT" take, but considering Wright was picked last year and they love Jones, I could see it working
  9. its all that money you made by selling nsbb, dont lie
  10. Houston played in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL AND struck gold with Stroud. I feel like the best-case scenario would be that the 2024 NFC Central mirrors the 2023 AFC Central with 3 teams making the playoffs. I dont think the Bears are going to win the division and think 9 wins and a playoff spot is much more likely than 10 wins
  11. I feel like they are on the 3 year upward trend that many orgs get. 2022 they just missed the playoffs but played strongly, 2023 made it to the NFC championship and played tough the whole way through the playoffs, I wouldn't be stunned if they were in the SB next year, honestly. They had some gafs mid-season in 2023 and a letdown is certainly possible, but I don't see a lot of strong teams in the NFC that could run with them. I feel like SF is due for the letdown, Shannahan hasn't proven he can get over that hill yet, and they are getting older and more expensive, outside of Purdy truly becoming Brady II
  12. yes, but they had an easy schedule this year and while they should have won 10 floundered to 7. We can debate the reasons, but Detroit will still be strong and GB still looks like a quality team. I think the division will be harder to win in 2024 than it was in 2023, actually, and wining 10 games sitting at the 3rd spot in the div seems unlikely
  13. I would be STUNNED if the bears won more than 9 games with a rookie, and that would include shoring up a ton of holes on offense coupled with a continued rise from the D. not unhappy, but stunned
  14. Whitehair was a godsend 8 years ago. up until his drafting, the bears had very little in the way of homegrown OL outside of Leno. Sad to see him go. Heres to green pastures as far as the eye can see old horse
  15. Ohtani cant read defenses and Soto has a negative rating on his pass rush according to PFF HARD PASS
  16. Bears have released Eddie Jackson and Cody Whitehair
  17. I don’t think it does, a good team will score, or stop a score regardless
  18. Lady’s and gentleman, may I introduce our good friend: Nero
  19. I have it bookmarked because of it being the full sequence of what happened that night, i watch it quite often!
  20. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/steve-mcmichael-finally-explains-his-real-reason-for-signing-with-packers/ for some odd reason i cant just post the text, so here a screenshot of the quote. And yes, i know you’re joking around, so am i…kind of
  21. Don’t get too lippy, one of them denounced playing in gb upon retiring and the other is bound too
  22. He needs to be gargling scotch while doing the backflip or I won’t believe it’s him in the video….assuming there is a video. if no video, it never happened
  23. no, seriously, what is wrigley talking about? the Bears land investment has nothing to do with their decisions on the field, at least they dont need to
  24. Big deals like that rarely go bad in recent past theyll be fine. As much as I’d love them to take one on the chin, that likely won’t happen
