  1. Wright is nice depth, in a lesser secondary (not having JJ, Gordon, and Stephenson) he might be a #2 also, is it Stephenson or Stevenson?
  2. Stevenson is being asked to cover #1's in the NFL week after week. Get JJ back, and he will be fine on the #2.
  3. TJ Watt was on him fast on that fumble. I'm not sure he could just "throw it away" either, he wasnt out of the pocket and an intentional grounding would have been a safety. given how bad the D was all day, a safety may have led to 9 points when the Steelers would have in unstoppable fashion marched down the field. Running the ball would have been a better play call but in the end, even the fumble (and TD) didnt kill the team. I just wish the D could stop molasses, because THAT would change the game
  4. If the get JJ, Gordan, 1 or 2 LBs, they have to try the game as their measuring stick. Nobody will pick them, but it’s an excellent chance to start seeing where they really are
  5. I think they should aim to sweep no matter the outcome of their last game. They may jump someone really good if this D gets healthy
  6. Well, they arent pretenders but they also arent real good. That being said, fortune favors the bold, and the Bears continue to take advantage when they need to. I'll be ecstatic with 10 wins, even if they miss the playoffs. It would also be so typically Bears to get to 10 wins and be 2 of like 3 for 10 win teams that dont make the playoffs, and thats why I dont think it will happen. Ben Johnson seems to be kryptonite to "typical Bears". For the last 65 years, the Bears have been thought of as a Defense First team , but it hasnt always been that way. For a long time, it was offense offense offense, and in fact, thats when they won the most Championships in overall team history. Maybe the long slow pendulum of time is coming back the other way. I would like to see a good D backing up the O, however.
  7. When do we get our LBs and DBs back? Thats when I’ll start feeling better
  8. This is where the Bears lose. If they can’t march down the field on offense, they can’t win
  9. Yup, fun over. Going to lose to a middling Steelers team
  10. Bears are going to get blown out this game
  11. Not with those sieve of a defense
  12. Time to find out what LBs are really worth in todays nfl
  13. #4 offense in the league that still spits and spatters at times idk, I kinda like this Ben guy
  14. That was Wootton. Would love to end Rodgers career too
  15. ?? don’t you mean Corey Wootton?
  16. We’re set up completely different than the 2001 bears tho, and not just o/d. Now, we have a protégé coach, and a possible HoF on his side of the ball. In 2001 we just had the latter (urlacher) on D i think we’re in better shape now
  17. Bears alone in 1st. Unbelievable
  18. Man that was too close
  19. I won’t feel good about anything more than a 35 fg try
