  1. I agree it seem to me that the Bears thrived when they had the "us .v. the world mentality" like they had in 2006. When the Bears were hungry they were arguably the best team in football. I expect that hunger to be there this yr considering how close they were to making the playoffs last yr. Again it's going to be a "black and blue" battle for the division crown this yr between Bears/Vikes/Packers. Right now, I don't see a "favorite" for the division crown yet, cause all three teams are about the same as a whole next. (Note: even if the Vikes do sign Favre, that doesn't really improve their team). Favre will take so many guys outta the box for AD its going to suck. Favre with the Vikes = Vikings slight fav. Without Favre = No fav.
  2. Heh, Sept. 13th can't get here soon enough.
  3. i don't see the league having much of a problem with the packers this year, really. Heh, we'll see about that. I like being under the radar. It worked in 2007 and I'm hoping it works again this year. Heh, no kidding. I think everyone in Green Bay has a quiet confidence about this year. they are better than last years record and they are healthy. I haven't seen too many knowledgeable football fans count the Packers out this year. The only question is the adjustment to the 3-4 scheme. Yeah that's basically it. The North is going to be awesome to watch this year.

  5. I don't see Hester and co. giving Harris and Woodson problems at all this year. And to defend what you are saying, Mike and Mike did a segment I belive every tuesday called "Just Shut Up". I do remember that. You don't believe having a QB who can actually hit a receiver in stride isn't going to make a bit of difference? Cutler will help, but im not to worried about the bears WR core at all. Olsen on the other hand... please go find something to talk about that you understand a little bit, like camo gear or orange hats. if hester had a competent qb last year he would have lead the league in catches of 40+ yards. well that settles it.

  8. Eh, its not like Driver said anything crazy. He was asked a question and he answered it.
  9. 18-15 for BG tonight. Honestly, the NBA would of had to rig it but I wish OKC could of gotten BG just so we could see KD and BG for years to come.
  10. I know its only summer league but, Griffin's stats through 2 games.. 21.5 ppg 10.5 rpg 3.0 apg .692 FG% and he even hit a 3.
  11. So if I was a kid wearing a Brewer helmet for Prince. And he wins, can I ask to take Erin Andrews home instead?
  12. This Albert Pujols love fest is making me sick. Even tho he does deserve it.
  13. Andruw Jones with the hat trick.
  14. I DON'T KNOW WHAT EVERYONE IS YELLING ABOUT
  15. Good to see him back. Amazing that you guys lost your best offensive player and the Brewers/Cards couldn't sink you guys. But I guess that's what happens when we play in a horrible division.
  16. Ryan Franklin is having a pretty good year. I think he just means that it's ridiculous that either one of them were good enough for any extended period to make the team to begin with. Wearing Cards uniforms, natch. Yeah that's a good point.
  17. They've been playing really deep all series. Why? I have no idea. The Twins did this against us as well.
  18. Why is the Cubs OF playing so deep for Kendall?
  19. I have no idea. Cameron did a heck of a job just getting into the vicinity of that ball. It should have been a hit. The ball that almost hit Milton in the face a couple days ago was ruled a double, but Cameron gets that ruled an error. Just another reason why errors are a mostly worthless stat for outfielders. Yeah but Braun only has 2 in his career, that makes him a great defensive OFer............. :D)
  20. Ryan Franklin is having a pretty good year. Marquis over Gallardo for me is kinda head scratching.
  21. I don't know if this needs a actual thread, but what do people think? Will this work? Some names are playing, Losman, Bollinger, Rattay, Dorsey, Chris Perry, Adam Archuleta. Coaches, Dennis Green, Jim Haslett, Jim Fassel and Ted Cottrell. Games are gonna be played on Wed, Thur and Friday. Starts in Oct. ends thanksgiving weekend. Does this thing have a chance?
  22. Pujols grand slam in the 8th to take the lead 4-3.
  23. D-Backs (Davis 3-8; 3.28) @ Reds (Harang 5-8; 3.95) - 11:35 Astros (Rodriguez 6-6; 3.35) @ Padres (Correia 5-5; 4.23) - 2:35 Giants (Zito 4-7; 4.55) @ Cardinals (Wellemeyer 6-7; 5.68) - 6:15 If you were a big NL Central freak. You have games on all day.
