  1. FONZIE! Silence these south side announcers! YES!
  2. First three minutes listening to Hawk and Steve Stone and I want to turn the game off. Good lord.
  3. Why can't Hawk be on WCIU? It's hard enough having to watch the Cubs, but I'm forced to listen to their announcers while watching our wonderful baseball team. Should be a fun game. Edit: And wow, the line-up. CF DeJesus SS Castro RF LaHair DH Soriano 1B Clevenger 2B Barney 3B Valbuena C Soto LF Campana
  4. Hahaha nice relay by Starlin! Definitely thought that was a home run.
  5. My heart was racing as if Cain were a Cub. No-hitters/Perfect games are awesome, no matter who is apart of it. As stated before, we've gotten some really good pitching the last few years. Three no-hitters in the last two weeks.
  6. Let's hope this has a better outcome than the previous Brian Roberts and Jake Peavy threads.
  7. I wonder if it'd be different without the knee injury.
  8. Hopefully Wood continues his good pitching from his last start against SF.
  9. This has to be one of the worst game threads in the history of this site. Still a chance to win the series tomorrow.
  10. Lol this thread is pathetic. Hopefully we didn't waste all of our offense last night.
  11. (19-36) Chicago Cubs @ (24-31) Milwaukee Brewers http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_430904.jpg Paul Maholm 4-4, 4.82 ERA Career vs. Brewers: 3-9, with a 4.74 ERA in 20 starts. 125.1 IP, 86 K and 46 BB. http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_425844.jpg Zack Greinke 6-2, 3.46 ERA Career vs. Cubs: 2-2, with a 5.79 ERA in four starts. 23.1 IP, 31 K and 8 BB. The Cubs look to win the series after dominating the Brewers in game one, 10-0. Paul Maholm is looking for his first win since May 9th. Since then, his ERA has risen from 4.09 to 4.82. If you recall Maholm's first start as a Cub, it was against the Brewers and he struggled, to say the least. On the opposite side of things, Zack Greinke goes for the Brewers. The Cubs roughed up the former Cy Young winner, as he allowed 8 ER in 3-2/3 IP.
  12. (18-36) Chicago Cubs @ (24-30) Milwaukee Brewers http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_133225.jpg Ryan Dempster 0-3, 2.90 ERA Career vs. Brewers: 15-6, with a 2.75 ERA in 26 starts. 193.1 IP, 183 K and 84 BB. http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_451596.jpg Yovani Gallardo 4-4, 4.22 ERA Career vs. Cubs: 5-1, with a 2.77 ERA in 11 starts. 68.1 IP, 77 K and 28 BB. The Cubs try to snap their 11 game road losing streak. The Cub offense has gone frozen solid after the home series against the Padres, scoring six runs in four games at San Francisco. Both starting pitchers in this match up have fared well against the opposition, so we'll see what gives.
