  1. I think Mojo made this joke 40 pages ago. But I'll allow it, because we are all bored and want to die
  2. If I was ever on Jeopardy, there would be a zero percent chance I'd see that category on the board. I'd be there the day when all the questions are about Rivers of Asia or 17th Century French Literature
  3. Probably more to do with the fact they are young and dumb. Bernstein and Goff the other day played some clips from a Cleveland radio show. Some old bag said they should take the Indian casinos away from the Indian tribes, why doesn't anyone stick up for her losing money on slots. Some other mouth breather said why do we let women suck unborn babies out of themselves but its not okay to have the Inidans logo? Every Cleveland-ish Facebook page had polls up yesterday asking if you supported the mascot going away, and they were all 85-15 towards being mad about it. Cleveland is awful
  4. Rob Goldman He was actually a pretty good sports anchor too. A creepy, sex scandal-y anchor, but a good one
  5. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=36316&start=360 Also said Brewers were working on an Archer trade but Rays upped the ask and it fell apart. Sounds like Santana, Burnes and other top minor leaguers is what it would take. See, Brewer guy thinks flights are shorter from LA, too.
  6. I just walked past a couple of students who were ranting about how “fucked up” it is that MLB “took away” the Indians logo Liberal Arts college =/= Liberal thinking
  7. The tribe or the sports program?
  8. He would come back and he would not be self aware
  9. That wasn't the impetus for the post. It was purely an economics question of how quickly salaries can rise year to year.
  10. Is that guilt stemming from your conservative values (as in YES TIM IS FOR THE DEATH PENALTY) or guilt (as in TIM NEEDS TO BE SENTENCED TO DEATH)? who'd you kill? DaBum
  11. Who the hell boils lasagna? Have fun with your rubbery.....pasta sauce
  12. Lol, no. The owners have unprecedented profits and yet systematically have introduced rules throughout the game that reduce pay for both big leaguers and amateurs, ask for tax payer-funded stadiums and pay minor leaguers peanuts, but it's the players who have finally reached too far? Fair enough.
  13. Will this off season be looked back on as a bit of a "bubble burst" when it comes to salaries? I guess it depends on who signs for what, but the rate at which salaries have been growing over the past decade seems to have hit a wall. In past years, there is no way guys like Darvish, JD Martinez, etc. would still be unsigned. Have the players finally reached too far?
  14. The fact that the NCAA is letting MSU Head their own investigation instead of saying “horsefeathers you, we got this” from day one tells you all you need to know about the awfulness of Emeritt
  15. With TheoCo being the squirrels Or like Veronica Beauregarde One big blue ball Violet Beauregarde
  16. He should be fired for a variety of reasons
  17. What, what? Who is defending anything? I'm talking about the public/media/NCAA reaction to the MSU situation Given the severity of what transpired at Happy Valley and how minimal the punishment, it takes either blind bias or huge balls to use their punishment as some sort of barometer for being tough (even used in just comparison to MSU rather than taken at face value). We're talking about the NCAA here, though, which uses some combination of a dart board and Magic 8 Ball to choose its punishments. NCAA set the bar, not me
  18. And now there's this http://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/22214566/pattern-denial-inaction-information-suppression-michigan-state-goes-larry-nassar-case-espn
  19. The NCAA (specifically Mark Emmert) was told in 2010, and the response was a gigantic *SHRUG* https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2018/1/26/16939098/mark-emmert-larry-nassar-ncaa-michigan-state-case
  20. 8 likes on his first post? Dude should retire. Go out on top
  21. I think the dissonance will be David Ortiz going in first-ballot despite having actually failed a drug test
  22. Yes, thought at this point, I don't even see Michigan State getting anything close to what punishment Penn State DID receive Considering it was a 2 year punishment and a 60 mil fine for covering up horsefeathering children, defending the severity of Penn State is not the correct answer. The only lasting effect is the removal of the main enabler of child rape's statue. What, what? Who is defending anything? I'm talking about the public/media/NCAA reaction to the MSU situation
