  1. Except that in high school (and travel ball), the pitchers are often also the best hitters, because they're the best athletes on the team. So pitchers don't inherently suck at hitting, they just get asked to stop doing it the second they turn pro no Counter-point: yes
  2. Pitchers don't suck at hitting because they don't work on it enough, they suck at it because hitting his hard and pitching gets better and better. Scrappy McJunkball could scratch out a hit or two against the scrubs that pitched in yesteryear, not because he put in the time and effort. 3. And it slows the game down
  4. The Reds are already going to be annoying, and Castellenos would make them extra annoying. That team is going to be a pain

  9. So your premise is that he sucked because he was the starter, but he'll be somehow less awful because he'll be a backup (though there is no indication that's true as of today)?
  10. Fraud team is a fraud
  11. Unless Rodgers is jumping in to help stop the run, GB is burnt toast
  12. The San Francisco rebuild has been really impressive. This team is a force. Also, horsefeathers Green Bay forever
  13. Tom's argument is "he's just a guy so he's fine as a 5th OF or whatever" The rest of us are saying "he's just a guy so why not upgrade that roster spot instead of having one of the statistically worst hitters of 2019 sitting there"?
  14. High contact....right into a 4-3 put out. Sweet, let's extend him
  15. Saying Amora and Descalso are the answer to anything besides "who are the first two players that should be replaced" is pure madness
  16. Columbus has just 2 regulation losses in their last 20 games (14-2-4). They were completely left for dead, 12 points out of the playoffs, in early December. They now sit in the first wildcard, and just 2 points behind the Islanders for 3rd in the Metro. All this with 8-10 players on the IR
  17. what is a bane? Short for Banedon
  18. TIL that Lord Littlefinger was in The Dark Knight Rises
  19. Jessica Mendoza And Trevor Bauer rounds out the top 3. Honorable mention to Carlos Beltran. Lenny Dykstra
  20. Mendoza’s bad take probably has something to do with her being a paid advisor in the Mets organization
  21. This was inevitable. Crazy that two teams now need to figure out their manager situation this close to spring training It's not a hard position to fill. Hard? No. Ideal timing? Also, no
  22. lol, still no major league deals
  23. 4/$92M....that's a spicy meatball
  24. This was inevitable. Crazy that two teams now need to figure out their manager situation this close to spring training
