    Skipping from 4 to 12 teams was a mistake. 8 seems like the sweet spot (and would eliminate the first-round bye problem). Eliminating the exclusivity of the Army Navy game weekend would help accelerate the process as well. Playing the quarters and semis in December with the CFP title game on Jan 1 would also solve the transfer portal window problem
