  1. and Yankee Stadium's 1970's "upgrades" made it somewhat of an eyesore. It totally lacks any "old time" charm
  2. some think Brewer may be a Top 3 pick
  3. Quick NBA draft question for you all: Assuming the Bulls don't get a top 3 pick (thus, no Oden/Durant), what should be their top priority? Coming into the season, most said a big man who could score. Has TT shown enough for the Bulls to focus elsewhere? Personally, I'd like to see a 2-guard with size. I really like Hinrich and Gordon, but defensive matchups are rough when facing a SG who is 6'6". Thoughts?
  4. what, we don't want to fire Skiles and Paxson now? you mean people overreacted? say it isn't so!
  5. Please. That's basically the lineup for WGN Superstation 24 hours a day, seven days a week fixed
  6. LoL, great, just what I always wanted! but seriously, the company has invested too much money (and gone through too much grief with the neighborhood) to do anything with the stadium now. Its there to stay for awhile I think
  7. when I had MLB EI, all Pirates games were blacked out even though I didn't have Fox Sports Pittsburgh. So yeah, I was screwed any time the Cubs played the Bucs and it wasn't on WGN
  8. I hear they're gonna tear it down and build the world's biggest Ikea
  9. both the Pistons and Cavs won yesterday, adding to the pressure of tonight's game
  10. navy would be better, but you'd have to change the caps too, as they are pretty bright blue right now
  11. Hitting coach for the Hudson Valley Renegades of the NYPLeague
  12. You beat me to it. i guess they're in colorado. I couldn't tell from the uniforms
  13. reason I hate alt. uni's in full effect right now in Arizona. Purple shirts vs. Red Shirts. Horrible
  14. Every team in the MLB has grey road uniforms. You think MLB would allow the Cubs to be different? technically, the Padres and Giants have ugly-ass yellowish road uniforms, but your point stands. Roast's quote could have said "The colors are ....no gray." Next thing he'll be railing against white road uniforms in college football
  15. doesn't make Prior or Wood healthy Actually, Prior is healthy right now. mentally?

  18. First of all, I said nearly. Secondly, every time I go to a game with my family, that's how much it costs. Here is a breakdown: $40.00 a seat x 4= $160. $20.00 to park Now we are in the stadium and haven't bought a thing to eat or drink. A hot dog is $5.00 at Petco. So are drinks, peanuts and anything else you want to eat or drink at the game. Multiply that times 4. It's pretty easy to spend that, actually. For one, it's not very difficult to find tickets cheaper than $40.00, or someplace cheaper than $20 to park. But even then you're assuming that each member of the family eats $30 worth of food? well that speaks more to the epidemic of people constantly eating at baseball games. I go to our minor league park and see people with $6 tickets eat $50 worth of food. They are up to get more food every other inning. Seriously, eat dinner before you get there. Or just budget yourself. You don't need a hot dog, 2 beers, a pretzel, ice cream, peanuts and nachos. Do you eat that much at home?
  19. Well now you are going to have to see the WHITE (not blue, not "cubs) with tiny little barely noticeable blue (which is supposed to be the cubs color) every single home game. You will never see another home color ever again. It's gonna get old. Marlins and Astros are worse. 4 or 5 uni's each
  20. Selig officially has no right to complain about player salaries ever again
  21. this is the reason the NFL should implement a rookie cap a la the NBA.
  22. I'd be willing to bet the Cubs wore the blues over 50% of the time last year. Maddux wouldn't wear them, and I think Wood wore pinstripes at home but blues on the road. Just about every other starting pitcher wore blue
  23. FYI, MLB EI is free this week for DirecTV customers. God bless the "freeview"
  24. not surprisingly, this poll is falling out exactly like I thought it would
