  1. Yeah the way it was said was dumb. I think he was meaning more that he would rather have a guy who manages the game than a guy who gun slings it everywhere and has a lot of turnovers (as well as big plays). I would agree with that point. No, it's [expletive] stupid. That team would probably be 6-0 with Cutler. The Bears would not be 6-0 with Orton
  2. Jon Gruden: "Do you want a guy who can throw or a guy who wins? Kyle Orton is a winner." [expletive] you you [expletive] idiot
  3. does this mean that Rocket is going to be the focus of Sulley's scorn this week?
  4. They are 19th in yards allowed/game, 28th in pass yards allowed, 11th in rush yards and 14th in points/game. They aren't terrible, but they are a slight notch below the Bears defensively, I believe. middle of the pack is a large improvement over past years is all I'm saying. I've seen more Bengals games than Bears, and I've been very impressed with the Cincy defense at times, particularly the linebackers
  5. The Bengals defense is much, much better than past years. I don't see the Bears getting much going on the ground again. Hopefully they can be on the right end of the turnover margin and can squeak one out on the road.
  6. so how will Penn State [expletive] the bed in Ann Arbor THIS year?
  7. I didn't have the pleasure of following the game thread, but my general observation from this game was that once the Falcons started blitzing, the Bears offense looked like they were playing scared. Tentative play calling, indecisive routes/running, and poor decision making by Cutler.
  8. so there are like 6 good teams in the entire league this year. fantastic
  9. No, PSU is on the road
  10. if Pike is out long term, Cincy won't last in the Top 12. I know the Big East is bad and all, but losing a QB of his caliber is a big blow
  11. so if TCU and Boise St. both manage to finish Top 8, both are auto-bids?
  12. okay, so Top 12 to qualify, but Top 8 is auto. I'm sure the other independent teams have the same deal, right?
  13. don't mind sulleymon......he PMS's on game day
  14. 10 wins and top 12 in the BCS (I think....Andy would know) But they don't get an auto-bid....that's just they qualifying criteria.
  15. and people would be pissed, especially considering a 12-0 TCU would likely have a higher BCS ranking than a 10-2 ND, but we'll see.
  16. I don't know that 10-2 guarantees ND a BCS berth. There are 10 slots available. Barring any upsets, both Florida and Alabama are in (even though one will beat the other in the SEC title game). Five more spots for Big Ten, ACC, Big East, Big 12 and Pac 10 champs. That leaves 3 open slots. Let's say Penn State wins out and finishes 11-1 and Boise St. and TCU go undefeated....who would you take out to put ND in? What if Texas goes 12-0 but gets upset in the Big XII title game?
  17. what this game needs is a rain delay
  18. anyone want to take a stab at the inital BCS Top 10?
  19. south carolina completely gave up at the end of that game. pitiful
  20. bama guy should've had a flag thrown on him for taking off his helmet
  21. someone got carted off on a stretcher in the IU/ILL game
  22. another terrible throw/play
  23. why would you have any route run that doesn't go to the end zone though? terrible
