  1. Whut? DeRosa and Edmonds, duh
  2. has there ever been a poster (besides wrigley23) to have made every single post in their NSBB history about one topic? did cubstitlelives sign up just to bitch about Bradley?
  3. so is cubstitlelives the new screen name for wrigley23?
  4. Fox has 2 starts over the past 2 weeks. It's weak
  5. It'd be better if they lost with significant contributions from A-Rod and from Jeter crapping the bed. The new definitions of clutch that'd be thrown around would be hilarious. even better
  6. This always strikes me as a question that a non-sports fan would ask. It's like when I moved to Columbus and people asked me, "so, are you going to start cheering for Ohio State now?" Yeah, I'm going to drop 20+ years of Penn State fandom because I now have a central Ohio zip code....
  7. bucs in OT one year, can't remember which one. funny thing is that Gould wasn't that great at Penn State.
  8. the AP game recap for yesterday starts with "Jay Cutler finally lived up to his hype....." Finally? You mean it took all the way until GAME TWO? I hate sports journalists....
  9. Better than a torn ACL, but I sprained my ankle a while back really bad and I couldn't do any athletic activity for 6 weeks. you didn't have anyone shooting you up with cortisone either
  10. you talking about me? I haven't referenced either of those this entire thread. no, he wasn't talking about you
  11. Ugh, Joe Morgan: "Even if you hit .300, you fail 7 times out of 10" :banghead:
  12. too bad Jeremy Hermida hasn't panned out.
  13. every conference sucks. seriously, the acc sucks, the pac 10 mostly sucks, the big east really sucks, the big xii has a lot of mediocre to bad teams. i assume that the big ten will be middle of the pack as far as the bcs conferences go when all is said and done. my point was that in the past, people said the Big Ten sucked when it didn't. This year, it really, really sucks
  14. Might be worth moving Fukudome back to RF and searching for a CF.
  15. I'm irrationally annoyed that Dallas in an eastern conference
  16. He won't get anything now that he suspended him.
  17. hey, when all the SEC fans say the Big Ten sucks this year, they'll actually be right for once
  18. I can see the Cubs moving Fukudome to RF and doing something absolutely asinine like getting Chone Figgins for CF. That's a lot smarter of a move than making Milton Bradley the focus of your offseason plans. Figgins is basically the same age as Bradley and is way, way worse at baseball
  19. You may be right, but again, who plays RF for the Cubs next year?
  20. Agree 100%. He's basically an overpaid, injury-prone, [expletive] version of Scott Hatteberg. WANT Find me one person on this board who thinks Bradley is as good as Bonds. One.
  21. you think those would be his numbers next year? they could be worse for all you or I know. More likely he'd suffer some season ending injury in the first week. they could be. But it's pretty clear that this season's numbers are an anomaly (only 2nd time in last 6 years to OPS under .800).
  22. Good thing Bradley produced THIS YEAR for us. Oh my God, I really think you do this just to get a rise out of people yet you continue to ignore the facts about Bradley's productivity this year. what the hell are you talking about? You folks keep bringing up his "productivity" as if it is something to write home about. 9.1 VORP, 3.2 WARP3, .775 OPS That's hardly irreplaceable. I don't know who is out there we can get or who we can promote, but those are hardly great numbers. you think those would be his numbers next year?
  23. The Cubs have 2 or 3 open spots on the 40-man, so it wouldn't require a second move
