    Because Wood is their closer and they don't want Perez to have to be their last defense if they take the lead. Not saying its necessarily right, but the majority of managers manage that way. What about Vizcaino or something? Anybody but Perez

    Why would they put Perez in? Shouldn't Wood have pitched? You put Bradley on the right side and put Reed against a LHP AND have a terrible pitcher face Lee? Looks like it may work out, but it was still dumb

    Burke's reaction was great. He is one of my favorite prospects for some reason. Hope he does well.

    Wrong. If Soriano stops swinging at that slider and takes his walk like he did there the cubs offense would be in pretty good shape. Well... that's a pretty big "if". Soriano has never taken walks and he's always swung at bad pitches. He is a HORRIBLE baseball player, who just happens to have the ability to hit mistakes out of the ballpark. There also isn't a single aspect of his game that suggests he should hit leadoff. Look at this quote from Lou: "We've been through this many times," Piniella sighed. "When we signed Alfonso, he was a leadoff hitter. We've won two divisions with him being a leadoff hitter. What else can I say? He's struggling. We just got to hope he gets hot." He was not a leadoff hitter, ever. He just bats first because he's a whiny little girl when he doesn't. We've also been swept in the first round twice with him being a leadoff hitter. The problem with Soriano, is that even when he is hot, he is still a horrible leadoff hitter! Lou thinks that he is being a productive leadoff hitter when he is hitting long balls, and that is just not the case. He should be hitting long balls with people on base. [/RANT] awesome

    KW will always be one of my top 5 Cubs of all time. Even when I see him blow a save against the Cubs, is like a stab in the gut. It's bittersweet, I love it that the Cubs tied it, but it sucks it had to be at the expense of KW. Really? I can't understand that. I'm upset he's not wearing a Cub uni, but I REALLY want to beat him. Exactly
