I've always wondered what I would do if I went to a baseball game between two teams that I didn't care about. In this case, I would probably go and just pretend that it's the world series. living in dc and detroit the last 8 years, i've done this frequently. i tend to drink a lot. Yeah I drink and make comments loud enough for people to hear about how terrible D-Backs fans are. Unfortunately they are as terrible as I say and thusly don't really care. Who cares if they suck? We were 50-31 at home with our mediocre crowds, sellouts don't = wins, so criticizing the fact we can barely sell out is pointless.Hey what's up mr. drawing bad conclusions... I said nothing of the quality of the team or the team's home play. I merely pointed out something that you seem to already know which I happen to enjoy doing when I'm at a game I don't care about. Really isn't a DBacks city/state anyways, sell outs happen across the street at US Airways with the Suns, which is better for me since I have a stronger passion for them.DBacks have been around for only 10 years, to expect big crowds is pretty dumb..gotta give them 10 more years and if it's still pathetic, then you really know they suck No, it's pathetic right now that there are still 10,000+ tickets available for the NLCS games. I've ragged on Marlin fans for being bandwagoners back in 2003. But at least the Marlins sold out or were very close to selling out every home game in the 2003 playoffs - they had one game with 61000 and the other 7 home games were 65000+ which included Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday home games in the World Series. And the Marlins did it with a far bigger stadium (about 16000 more seats) and with fans who showed up in smaller numbers during the regular season - the Marlins drew 12000 fewer fans per home game in 2003 than the DBacks did in 2007. The only reason the DBacks sold out the first two games of the NLDS this year was because of all the Cubs fans that showed up. It's a pathetic display and I don't buy the "they've only been around for 10 years so give them 10 more years" BS. 10,000? Heard on the radio today by our owner that there is only 3,000 left for tomorrow and 4,000 for Friday. Both should sell out, if they sell out tomorrow, cool, isn't going to make a huge deal if it sells out in 10 seconds compared to 4-5 days. It's better then the 37,000 who showed up game 1 of the 2001 NLCS for us.
