One good pitching innings eater would be great We're sort of the definition of how to build a dominant team without a rotation right now. Great bullpen (tonight notwithstanding)? Check. Consistently, high-OBP, deep offense? Check. Great defense (as measured by defensive efficiency)? Check. I think what is going for us is we have so many guys who are at least decent pitchers between AAA and MLB, which somewhat makes up for the lack of a great #2 starter. Ryan Dempster is having a high-quality season... I know. I'm just saying that in the event that he doesn't continue pitching great there is probably some one who can have his production at least a game or two.
