  1. I really hope that it wasn't on an Izturis homerun
  2. I have no problem saying that I like Jim Edmonds. 2004 bcl412 is coming to hunt me down and kill me now.
  3. We're not going to tolerate accidents? We're not going to tolerate Soriano getting drilled with a pitch near his face. I understand the frustration, but... Soriano is asking for that every AB. He is right on top of the plate, and leaning over it. That pitch wasn't really THAT far inside. That ball doesn't come within a foot of Ramirez if he was hitting. That's kind of a funny comparisons as it seems like Ramirez gets hit on the hands (or at least comes close to it) at least once a week
  4. Soriano isn't our best player. If he is hurt we can still win without him. This team has good depth. Yes, I realize he isn't our best player. I didn't say he was. He's still a huge factor in this team's success. Instead of Soriano every day it's probably going to be Hoffpauir or Fontenot at 2nd and DeRosa in left. I like Hoff as much as the next guy, but his production is nowhere near Soriano's. Losing Soriano for an extended period of time (more than a month) will wear on this team's production. I know. I just said that because you mentioned losing Soriano with the Cards losing Pujols. I have faith that even with less production the Cubs production will still be better than the teams we are playing
  5. We're not going to tolerate accidents? Who say's it was an accident? It was an 0-2 pitch to a free swinging slugger. I am pretty sure it was an accident.
  6. No. I'd rather not see Dempster get in trouble. Save it for later in the game when Wuertz is pitching or something. Drill fat McCann in his back. That's what Kevin Hart is for. This is when we need Farnsworth. Of course, it's the only time you need Farnsworth.

  8. He did twice yesterday. Hit it hard both times.
  9. I bet it's broken. It has to be. It's not often your hand can handle a fast ball hitting it flush like that.
  10. Well last Soriano injury we went on a hot streak. Of course this whole season has been a hot streak so far.
  11. We'll see. We won when they took the 3-0 lead
  12. The house comes crashing down when we use Kerry in the 9th but meh If Howry doesn't throw strikes that will turn into a good decision.
  13. I like how they go from one of the pitchers with the most movement in baseball to one of the pitchers with the least movement.
  14. Man, I don't want to win the division like this. I want to beat the Cards straight up, because they should not be that good. Remember the Cubs in 2004 and 2005? Remember how the Cardinals did it in those years? "You only won the division cause Pujols went down." - You really want to hear that all the time from Cards fans? I'll happily remind them of Mark Prior and Kerry Wood in 2004 and 2005. And Nomar.

Remember how the Cardinals did it in those years? "You only won the division cause Pujols went down." - You really want to hear that all the time from Cards fans? If we keep playing this way it won't matter.
  16. Soriano makes every catch interesting.
  17. Not a strike but probably should have swung.
  18. I love home Cubs. Road Cubs are starting to grow on me a little, but I really love home Cubs.
