  1. I thought Edmonds had been saving up the switch-hitting secret for all these years, waiting for the right time to unleash it. #-o You could have saved yourself by saying he feels pain becaues he ties the game but doesn't even get to win it because they pinch hit for him with the bases loaded.
  2. I like this switch hitter we have in center field.
  3. REED EDMONDS WINS THE GAME FOR THE CUBS!!!!
  4. If Edmonds get a hit now than I think every Cubs fan may actually like him now.
  5. because no one cares about stats like that I personally think it's an important stat. Cubs batting .208 in that situation. What if the Cubs get a bases clearing double with one out, then the next two guys make outs? It doesn't really matter when you score runs. If they were .208 overall with RISP I'd be concerned It depends on the situation. Usually later in the game, 2 out hits with RISP are much more important. Maybe a more important stat would be RISP/2 outs inning 7+. and when its late and close Exactly. Occasionally, RISP/2 outs in late innings could show how clutch certain teams are (although the Cubs have been very good in the late innings). I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs RISP/2 outs inning 7+ is much higher. uh oh you just said the C word

People learn better that way.
  9. Blowouts should happen the next week now so Marmol never has to pitch again.
  10. I think Lou wanted to hit with the pitcher to go along with the throwback day.
  11. I'd think it would be tough. I guess you would have to define fast and then see how many errors are committed. Actually that isn't going to give you much info but it is a start.
  12. What's the story? He was talking about in the minors that while playing on the road the opposing team would pick a beer batter. If that batter struck out than beer would be half price. Brenly k'd and the crowd gave him a curtain call.
  13. I think Brenly wins for the best curtain call ever.
  14. I really hope Umps get fines when they confront players like that.
  15. k thnx idiot I hope we play the Sox in the WS and sweep them, with the Cubs winning at least 10-0 every game and Soriano hitting 9 home runs. Of course if that happened, Sox fans would say something stupid like "We've been to the World Series twice in 5 years and you haven't" or something like
