I just changed my mind about Cardinal announcers. They suck. Apparantly highlight reels are why we think defense isn't that important in baseball.

Typical Cubs/Cards tilt. Do blowouts ever happen when these two teams play. I think I remeber a game in 98 where the Cards scored a bajillion runs in the first inning but that's about all I can remember.

LaRussa wouldn't hit DeRosa on purpose. Their names are practically the same, making them like brothers.

It could be worse... you could be blacked out and forced to listen to the Cards' announcers. They're not as bad as some I don't think. They've been very complimentary of the Cubs.

I don't think there's anything in the rulebook, but I always saw it as that gray area between trying to get an advantage and being classless. Kind of like when A-Rod yelled "I got it!" while approaching 3rd base against Toronto (I think) last season. It also brings up the age-old debate over playing the game "the right way". That being said, a large part of Spygate was over stealing signs as well. They were videotaped in advance and it's a completely different sport, but it's interesting how it can be so clean-cut in football and not in baseball. I guess I understand this. I guess I just think that the signs are used to disguise and if you aren't diguising well enough you should have to pay by having the other team know what your going to do.

LOL are you serious? 27 LOB Granted we have left a lot on base tonight. But we you get a lot of hits and score a lot of funs (and for the record 7 is a lot of runs) you leave a lot on base. I really think LOB is a REALLY OVERRATED stat unless you leave a lot on and only score 0-4 runs. I'd think 27 LOB base is a sign that you are doing everything right and are just getting bad luck.
