  1. I picked Clemson but I really hope Michigan pulls it out. A 3-1 day wouldn't be too bad at all. But man I think they are going to choke.
  2. I'm looking through my bracket. Why the hell do I have Ohio State, Wisconsin and Western Kentucky in the Sweet 16 (with OSU in the elite 8). To be fair I put no thought into my bracket even though I have followed college hoops this year more than I have in a while.
  3. damn you Michigan.
  4. Didn't Holy Cross almost win as the 16 seed against Kansas a few years back?
  5. Yeah, we finally beat a bad team :yahoo:
  6. Well.....at least we got a point :banghead:
  7. Couldn't that have been a high stick on us?
  8. How does he make that save but let in the crap goals he's been letting in?
  9. He should have got an instigator AND a roughing... these are the worst refs I've ever [expletive] seen. Look how Walker gets a roughing penalty for a love tap but Boll can go headhunting on Ladd and get away with it. It's a complete joke. That's what I thought. I definitely didn't think there should have been matching penalties.
  10. I'm not too keen on some hockey rules so I want to be sure of what I'm complaining about but what is considered fighting. The Columbus guy had his gloves off and was trying to throw a punch. If the ref didn't hold his arm you would have thrown a punch. Why isn't that fighting? Because Seabrook didn't want to fight?
  11. The Jackets have had some pretty lucky goals tonight.
  12. They look terrible out there. again.
  13. And then have a chance to miss the playoffs.
  14. I'm still worried about missing the playoffs.
  15. They are rankings done on the sport of basketball at the American, Division 1, collegiate level.
  16. You know, a woman could use this quote and replace "600 pounder" with "Julian Tavarez"
  17. Because they choked their way out of the last 2 NCAA tourneys and lost as a 4/5 seed in the previous 2, maybe? :) I always trick myself into picking Syracuse. I always think their zone will mess with teams. I did it again this year I think. I'm stupid.
  18. Exactly. No one is going to go to this game. It's going to be embarrassing. No one wants to go watch a group of ridiculous underachievers bow out against one of Memphis's C-USA punching bags. I'm going to be at work so I won't even be watching. I can't even describe my level of dumbfoundedness over that blog rant, as if the NIT means even one tiny little thing. One of the worst things the NIT can do is give an underachieving team a home bid. No body is going to show up to that game. In 2001-2002 Iowa played LSU at home and nobody showed up to an Iowa loss. To get good attendance they should let the teams who don't go to the post-season much host or let teams who weren't expected to make the post-season host. Yeah, I refused to go to SIU's NIT game last year against Oklahoma St. That's an interesting idea, but I'm sure they would want to reward the better teams the home game so the fans can see them play a 'meaningful' game at least one more time. :-k I guess no one cares about the NIT then.

  20. Should we start to get nervous about making the playoffs? 10 points doesn't seem like that much when you aren't playing very well.
  21. he's not that productive. but at the same time, not many backup middle infielders are. that's, essentially, why they're backups. i don't have a problem with miles on the roster. if not miles, we'd have another light hitting middle infielder. he's overpaid though, that's my problem. Or, to continue an overblown point that I see all sides to but is the large reason why there is contempt for Miles, we'd have Mark DeRosa. derosa wasnt traded so that we could sign miles, come on. No, and I didn't say that. But is he not seen as a replacement for Miles? Yes, he is.

  23. It's not really power people are looking for. It's production, power is a big part of it but so is getting on base and what not. The problem is, people just don't think Miles is that productive.
