  1. lol, as many guys in the box as there are on the bench.
  2. LINE BRAWL! Buff crosschecked Luongo's grill. Nothing happened immediately but Burish was yapping for a good 2 minutes... crowd gathers and Keith and Eager break off and start beating the [expletive] out of the guys they're fighting... everyone pairs off and grabs/face washes eachother... linesmen are only concerned with Burish so the fights go longer than they're supposed too. 10 minutes later theyre still sorting out penalties... another scrum breaks out as the captains are getting the talk from the linesmen... Khabi and Luongo had to have been ready to go. Oh man, that'd be awesome. I've never seen a goalie fight live.
  3. I posted this in the NCAA tourney thread, too. This was probably a more relevant place, though. Seth Curry decided to transfer to Duke!!! I played him in high school, too. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4026095 Assuming Harrison Barnes signs with Duke (likely), the 2010 team shapes up to be very good for Duke, after a down year next year. If Singler stays, it will be that much better. PG Nolan Smith---Tyler Thornton (#54 Player, #14 PG) SG Elliot Williams---Seth Curry---Andre Dawkins (#34 Player, #11 SG) SF Harrison Barnes (#4 Player, #1 SF)---Andre Dawkins (#34 Player, #11 SG) PF Kyle Singler---Josh Hairston (#14 Player, #6 PF)---Ryan Kelly C Mason Plumlee---Miles Plumlee We also might pick up Brandon Knight, the #1 or #2 overall player in that class to play point. Obviously we won't keep Singler and pick up Knight and Barnes. But if even two of those happen, Duke should be a top 5 team. Next year will probably be a little rough, though. Without knowing who'd be with Duke I could have told you their 2010 team looked to be very good. ;)
  4. :beg: I haven't seen a good hockey brawl in a long time. No kidding. Was Buff even part of it? He's the one who started it. If he's not going off, I'll be shocked. I don't think so. If the roles were switched I'd want Buff's blood though.

  6. Well, this could make the playoffs very interesting.
  7. I think this is a great move by Lou but does anyone else fear that Lou's freedom to use Marmol when ever he wants will lead to overuse (like it did last year). If Marmol was closer Lou would only bring him in during the 9th inning save situation and could spare his arm.
  8. It was the first time I'd ever watched the Bulls (my parents would watch the finals every night it was on and I would do it just because I liked sports and it was on.) My love for the Bulls began with this series.
  9. If the Bulls win this they are second in the division and only 24 games out of first. So that's nice.
  10. I can never do that. I basically grew up hating the Pistons. Oh, I hate the Pistons a lot more. The Heat have just done a lot to piss me off in the last few years.
  11. I hate the Heat almost as much as I hate the Pistons.
  12. The Bulls look like a different team than earlier this year (duh). You can tell they are having fun. Of course Miller had a little too much fun there.
  13. We can get the 7th seed now.
  14. I like how he does this after this post. :D
  15. This is kind of random but I don't like how all the tournament sites have the same type of floor design.
  16. Time to complete one of my worst sports days in history with a nice choke.
  17. I think I'm going to become a more avid follower of College Wrestling.
  18. Indiana State has Josh Crawford.
  19. Here they come. I have a bad feeling they are going to tie it. It super cedes my feeling that I had about last night's game.
  20. I loved Tony as a player but he wanted it to be the Tony show. He wanted to do his own thing, not stay within the offense or help younger guys. They told him he needed to buy in and work within the system or his playing time would drop. He took his ball and went home. I like the first part of that statement. SIU's biggest problem this year was that no one wanted to step up and be 'the guy.' Sounds like Freeman has the attitude where he wants the ball in his hands, and that's actually what I like to hear. The helping of the younger guys concerns me, but it'll be two years since he last played a game at Iowa when he steps on the court next year for us. I'm hoping he's matured a little since then and from all accounts that I've seen and heard from him, he has. He'll be a really good player for SIU. He's never been afraid to step up and take the big shot. Even as a freshman he would try to do it (unfortunately, at the time, he didn't make it.). I hope he succeeds there and SIU vs Indiana State games are going to be exciting for me as they will feature Freeman vs Jake Kelly. I'll probably watch that game with ice cream and kleenex and it will involve a lot of crying.
  21. If they keep getting it on net like this it won't be 4-3 for long.
  22. The Sharks are damn good. It seems like we've dominated every game against them and they keep coming back against us.
