  1. Is Salmons the most underrated player in the NBA (I don't know much about the rest of the league. I'm just basing this off of him being good and me not hearing of him until he was a Bull.)
  2. Home Bulls are fun. I'm excited to see what they do in the playoffs.
  3. I wrote them off before the season started. Is that ok? So between them and the Cards, you think the Cubs are just going to coast to an easy division title, without question? Yeah, really smart. Last year the Cards and the Brewers were really good and the Cubs coasted. Yeah, the Cubs aren't as good as last year (most likely) but neither are the Cards and the Brewers.
  4. Eric Gagne, Derrek Turnbow, Carlos Villanueva, etc. etc.
  5. It's weird. After last year I feel we are winning the game if we are only down one or two in the 9th. I wasn't even that pissed when the Brewers took the lead in the 7th.
  6. It is when you are pissed off after a heartbreaking loss. Kind of like how we hated the Brewers yesterday or how we hate Jose Valverde (scratch the second one. He's a D-Bag.) Anyway, Brewers fans shouldn't complain about any celebration when they have Ryan Braun.
  7. This has been a pretty eventful season thus far.
  8. Yay!!! Anyway the Celtics, Cavs or Magic don't sweep them?
  9. I wouldn't say they're meaningless. A game in April counts the same in the standings as a game in September does. This won't be our only tough loss of the season, nor will it be our worst. But if we're ever at the point where we're wishing for an extra game or two on the Cardinals or whoever, we can point back to games like this that should have been won. If you want to look at it that way, we're actually even with the Cardinals on games blown - they were up two but gave up four in the ninth on Monday to lose. That being said, I do agree that this was a tough loss. It's one thing if your starter gets rocked or if you get shut down by a good pitcher or even a decent one. But to lose a game like this that they should have won is tough. Cubs still have the advantage with the pitching matchups in the last two games, so win those and you're fine. Bush and Suppan are guys who we can really torch. So was Looper.
  10. I know. I'm just trying to become a changed baseball fan and look at individual games rationally and realize than individual games in baseball are relatively meaningless. I shouldn't get pissed off at games in April and I am trying not too. I've adjusted ok and this game didn't bother me that much. But then I read the post game thread and I'm pissed again.
  11. These losses wouldn't bother me at all (because they are still relatively meaningless) if they weren't damn last at bat loses.
  12. I just want to get to 500. It feels weird being in the playoffs as an under 500 team.
  13. I don't have much faith in Harden right now and I don't have a good feeling about this one.
  14. In 2004 my friend and I made Matt Clement goatees out of duct tape and colored them black for a game in St. Louis. A little kid told me that I, and I quote "look stupid". I learned later that I could just grow my own gross goatee. He also started the only playoff game I've been too and he kind of sucked (2003, NLDS game 4). Oh well, I always liked Clement and wish him well.
  15. I hope not too many games are on VS as well (stupid University cable). It would suck to follow the team for the whole damn season and not be able to watch the playoffs. I'm sure the games that are on VS will be streamed somewhere (legally :good: )
  16. We're Cubs fans. The team is expected to make the playoffs this year so we have to pick something else to freak out about.
  17. And that is what usually happens to start the year. No big deal.
  18. I'm only worried about Soto and Marmol. I don't really care about the loss.
  19. I loss itself stings but it doesn't bother me that much. It's the second game and we're the best team in the Central. If we miss the playoffs it won't be because of this game.
  20. I wouldn't say he did bad. They got a hit on a broken bat single.
  21. That might have something to do with first and second with nobody out.
