I wouldn't say they're meaningless. A game in April counts the same in the standings as a game in September does. This won't be our only tough loss of the season, nor will it be our worst. But if we're ever at the point where we're wishing for an extra game or two on the Cardinals or whoever, we can point back to games like this that should have been won. If you want to look at it that way, we're actually even with the Cardinals on games blown - they were up two but gave up four in the ninth on Monday to lose. That being said, I do agree that this was a tough loss. It's one thing if your starter gets rocked or if you get shut down by a good pitcher or even a decent one. But to lose a game like this that they should have won is tough. Cubs still have the advantage with the pitching matchups in the last two games, so win those and you're fine. Bush and Suppan are guys who we can really torch. So was Looper.
