  1. What's funny is we're hitting the ball hard this game and could be a sign of the offense turning it around. Unfortunately it's right before the ASB.
  2. That was more of a strike than strike two.
  3. Bradley shows his baseball apathy by lethargically flipping his bat after that walk.
  4. Oh yes, I think there are people who want that. I don't get some fans who think being a former player for the Cubs means anything when it comes to managing the team It's mostly because a lot of people fall in love with the romanticized idea of a former Cub hero leading them to the WS. Unfortunately, they don't realize, Sandberg would be a huge detriment to the team and wouldn't have much to do with any success that team may have.
  5. A sweep tomorrow would be nice? :beg:
  6. The curse is real.
  7. Lou just said in the post game that he could use Fox as a backup C. Um, Lou does know that Fox was moved to a new position because he wasn't a good catcher, right? Right?! I wouldn't mind seeing it. Any way we can get Fox's bat in the lineup is good... especially over Hill. Maybe we can use Hill for late-inning defense, but I would at least give Fox a shot and see how bad he is behind the plate. I don't know. Catcher isn't really a defensive position you should be messing with at all.
  8. I don't either and I'm actually kind of surprised that he hasn't gotten more heat than he has.
  9. This is one of those seasons where the Cubs could lose ten straight and the rest of the Central would go 2-8 at best over the same stretch. So it's 07 all over again?
  10. I wish the Cards or Brewers were better so they could just run away with the damn thing. I can't watch these types of games all year long.
  11. Well, last year's Cubs couldn't beat the Nationals, so....
  12. Unfortunately it's 2009 so they will both walk and then we'll have a K and a DP.
  13. I think the fake rally ends when we get the bases loaded no outs, someone hits a single but the guy on third trips and breaks his ankle running home, getting tagged out, then Yunel Escobar robs a home run, then Chipper Jones dives 20 rows in to catch a foul ball. Cubs lose. That'd be the most badass way to lose.
  14. Do we have a chance to get one run in 6 outs?
  15. He's got to be the most random former Cubs to sing.
  16. If he called him safe at second after that call in the first I was going to throw things at my TV. Regardless that wasn't a very good rundown Cubs.
  17. Horrible. He's swinging at everything. He seems to be popping up pitches he has to hit. At least that's what happened last AB.
